Pursuant to section 17 of the Standards Act 1965, the Standards Council, on 24 October 1980, endorsed as suitable for use in New Zealand, the under-mentioned amendments to the relevant endorsed specifications.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 4220 Energy use requirements for non-residential buildings. $6.

This draft has three objectives:

(1) To identify appropriate goals for target energy budgets, for use by either designers or operators;
(2) To offer general guidance to designers;
(3) To offer guidance to operating staff responsible for running a building, or useful techniques and points for attention, to achieve satisfactory low-energy performance.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the price shown, from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

Note—Payment must accompany all requests for drafts.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 19 December 1980.
