National Roads Board—Notice Partially Revoking Declaration of State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

RefErring to State Highway No. 60 (Takaka to Puramahoi section) as more particularly shown on plan LA54/62/1 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Nelson, and there available for public inspection, it is notified that the National Roads Board by resolution dated 15 October 1980 and pursuant to subsection 5 of section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby revokes its resolution dated 15 February 1978* made pursuant to the said section 4 insofar as it affects that part of the limited access road declaration for half its width on the eastern side across the frontage of part 1 of section G and part 2 of section G (M.R.) Takaka District (certificate of titles 5C/33, 4B/157).

National Roads Board—Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 15 October 1980 and pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 2 (Pokeho-Wellington) from its junction with Couglan Road at the boundary of the borough of Waipukurau to its junction with State Highway 50 at Takapau as more particularly shown on sheets 1 to 9 of plan LA30/33/1 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Napier, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

The Water Recreation (Mount Maunganui) Notice 1980—Whitewater Adventure Tours Ltd.

Pursuant to the Water Recreation Regulations 1979*, I, Robin Paul Taylor, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby give the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Mount Maunganui) Notice 1980.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette and shall remain in force for a period of 1 year.

  2. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, pursuant to regulation 18 of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979, the area of water described in the First Schedule hereto shall be reserved for paraflying or parasailing activities.

FIRST SCHEDULE

All the waters within 200 metres of the waters edge enclosed by parallel lines, the northern boundary being the extension of the southern side of Banks Avenue to a point being 50 metres south-east of the extension to the southern side of Banks Avenue.

SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. Notwithstanding any other provision of this notice, no person who is permitted by any such provision to propel or navigate a small craft at a speed through the water exceeding 5 knots shall do so in any manner that is likely to endanger or unduly annoy any person who is in, on, or using the water, or fishing or undertaking any recreational activity in the vicinity of the small craft.

  2. All persons in charge of a vessel or when parasailing or paraflying shall adhere to and keep the provisions of all other acts and regulations not specifically exempted by this notice.

  3. The reserved area shall be marked as follows:
    (a) Two 2.5 metre transit posts, with a distance of not less than 3 metres or more than 6 metres between, and painted black and orange vertical stripes shall be erected on land in line with each side of the reserved area the first post being sited at high water mark.
    (b) On each side of the transit post sited on high-water mark there shall be a notice board, measuring not less than 800 mm by 600 mm, painted bright orange with black lettering advising the purpose of the reservation and warning bathers and swimmers to keep out.

The Road Classification (Otorohanga District) Notice No. 1, 1980

Pursuant to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Otorohanga District) Notice No. 1, 1980.

  2. The Otorohanga District Council's proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.

  3. The notice dated the 25th day of November 1964† which relates to the classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

Otorohanga District Roads Classified in Class Two

All roads west of but not including the following roads:
Pirongia-Ngutunui Road.
Hauturu North Road.
Mangati Road.
Te Tahi Road.
Hannings Road.

Roads Classified in Class One

All roads under the control of the Otorohanga District Council not classified Class II in this Schedule.

Declaration of Vehicle with Motor Cycle Controls to be a Motor Cycle

Pursuant to section 2 of the Transport Act 1962, the Secretary for Transport hereby declares that the vehicle described in the Schedule hereto is a motor cycle for the purposes of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

The three-wheeled vehicle with motor cycle controls and an 850 cc Morris Mini engine, bearing the engine number 2681980 and the chassis number DS7-007038, manufactured by Mr Robert Kenneth Beeston of Whangarei.
