Boundaries of Christchurch Drainage District Altered

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951, I, Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that on 24 October 1980, the areas described in the Schedules hereto shall be added to and form part of the Christchurch Drainage District; and I also proclaim and declare that the area described in the First Schedule shall be added to and form part of the Waimairi sub-district; and that the area described in the Second Schedule shall be added to and form part of the Paparua sub-district.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Waimairi County, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the middle line of Heyders Road and the middle line of Lower Styx Road and proceeding northerly, generally, along the middle line of Lower Styx Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Reserve 4234; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary and the north-eastern boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 35962, Lot 1, D.P. 35962, and the production of the last-mentioned lot boundary to the middle line of Harbour Road; thence easterly along the production of that middle line to the middle of the original bed of the Waimakariri River; thence south-easterly, generally, along that middle line to the mean high water mark of the sea; thence southerly along that mean high water mark to a point in line with the road forming the northern boundary of Rural Section 40048; thence westerly, generally, to and along the middle line of that road and Heyders Road to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Paparua County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the middle of Halswell Junction Road in line with the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 558 and proceeding north-easterly to and along that boundary to the south-western boundary of part Lot 5, D.P. 2368; thence north-westerly, generally, along the last-mentioned boundary to the easternmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 23224; thence north-westerly, generally, along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 23224, and its production to the middle of Wigram Road; thence north-easterly along the middle of that road to the boundary of the Christchurch Drainage District as described in New Zealand Statute, 1967, page 1511, and New Zealand Gazette, 1969, page 107; thence easterly and southerly, generally, along that boundary to the middle of Halswell Junction Road; thence north-westerly along that road to the point of commencement.

Land Taken for Housing Purposes in the Borough of Wairoa

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, The Right Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for housing purposes, and shall vest in the Wairoa Borough Council, as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 23rd day of October 1980.
