The Traffic (Te Puke Borough and Tauranga County) Notice
No. 1, 1980

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Te Puke Borough and Tauranga County) Notice No. 1, 1980.

The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

The Traffic (Te Puke Borough) Notice No. 2, 1974, dated the 5th day of June 1974† and the notice declaring a closely populated locality dated the 25th day of February 1958‡, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, are hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Situated within Tauranga County:

No. 2 Road: from the southern boundary of Te Puke Borough to a point 800 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said road from the said boundary.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Situated within Te Puke Borough:

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne): from the eastern boundary of Te Puke Borough to a point 280 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said State Highway from the said boundary and from the north-western boundary of Te Puke Borough to a point 40 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said State Highway from Atuaroa Avenue.

THIRD SCHEDULE

Situated within Te Puke Borough and Tauranga County adjacent to Te Puke Borough:

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne): from a point 40 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said State Highway from Atuaroa Avenue to a point 500 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said State Highway from Te Puke Quarry Road.

Situated within Tauranga County:

No. 3 Road: from No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) to a point 100 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along No. 3 Road from MacLoughlin Drive.

Sale of Wanganui Harbour Board Land

I, Colin Campbell Alexander McLachlan, Minister of Transport, having obtained the concurrence of the Minister of Finance pursuant to section 143A (3) of the Harbours Act 1950, hereby approve pursuant to section 143 (1) (a) of the said Act and in exercise of the powers set out in section 143c of the said Act, the sale of the land described as Lot 3, D.P. 49262, contained in certificate of title 19B/1354, being a total area of 1800 square metres, more or less, situated in the City of Wanganui, Wellington Land Registry; and I specify that my approval hereunder is effective from the 25th day of August 1980.

Approval of Motor Cycle Riding School

Pursuant to regulation 19b (5) of the Motor Drivers Regulation 1964*, the Minister of Transport hereby approves the motor cycle riding school listed in the Schedule hereto to the effect that it may issue certificates of riding instruction to enable a person to obtain a full licence to drive a motor cycle in accordance with regulation 19b of the said regulations:

Approval of Motor Cycle Riding School

The Auckland Technical Institute Notice 1980

Pursuant to section 69 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Auckland Technical Institute Notice 1980.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 20th day of October 1980.

  1. There shall be a Board of Governors to be known as the Council of the Auckland Technical Institute which shall control the Auckland Technical Institute.

  2. The Council of the Auckland Technical Institute shall be constituted as follows:

(a) Two members appointed by the Association of Employers in local industries listed in the First Schedule to this notice.

(b) Two members appointed by the Association of Employees in local industries listed in the Second Schedule to this notice.

(c) One member appointed by the Auckland Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects.

(d) One member appointed by the Auckland Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Engineers.
