Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Auckland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, John Fraser Robertson, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Auckland Licensing Committee, on 29 August 1980, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Blackbridge Tavern, Mangere.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve)—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 10 o'clock in the evening.
(b) On any Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 11 o'clock in the evening.
(c) On any New Year's Eve—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o'clock in the morning of New Year's Day.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve)—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 10 o'clock in the evening.
(b) On any Friday, Saturday, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve. Opening at 10 o'clock in the morning and closing at 10 o'clock in the evening.

And the Committee grants an exemption for the purposes of section 187 of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, in respect of the period from 10 o'clock in the morning to 11 o'clock in the morning on any Friday, Saturday, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve.

PURSUANT to section 34B of the Licensing Trust Act 1949, as amended by section 14 of the Licensing Trust Amendment Act 1976, I, John Fraser Robertson, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Portage Licensing Trust, on 29 August 1980, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as "The Family Restaurant", "The Restaurant Lounge Bar", "The Functions Room", of the Richardson's Tavern.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve)—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 10 o'clock in the evening.
(b) On any Friday, Saturday (not being New Year's Eve), and Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 11 o'clock in the evening.
(c) On any New Year's Eve—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o'clock in the morning of New Year's Day.

And it is granted that an exemption for the purposes of section 34A of the Licensing Trust Act 1949, and section 187 of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, in respect of the period from 10 o'clock in the evening on any Friday, Saturday, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve, until the said premises are required to be closed in accordance with the said resolution.

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, John Fraser Robertson, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Auckland Licensing Committee, on 29 August 1980, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the chartered club known as the Mangere Cosmopolitan Club Incorporated.

To the intent that on days other than those on which chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to its members the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 10 o'clock in the evening.
(b) On any Friday, Saturday—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 11 o'clock in the evening.

In the Matter of the Commerce Act 1975, and in the Matter of a Proposed Takeover by Fletcher Holdings Limited (Fletcher) of Carter Holt Holdings Limited (Carter Holt)

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 81H of the Commerce Act 1975, the Commission made a certain order on the 22nd day of August 1980, which order was published on page 2570 of the New Zealand Gazette, No. 103, dated 28 August 1980.

And whereas the said order provided that it shall be renewed on expiry without application of any party from time to time until the Commission otherwise orders.

And whereas it appears to the Commission that the reasons which led it to make the said order are still valid.

And whereas the Commission has been satisfied that the number of shares referred to in clause (a) of the said order should be 331,661 and not 331,761 as originally stated.

Now THEREFORE, pursuant to section 81H (2), the Commission hereby renews the said order with the said amendment in respect of the number of shares referred to in clause (a).

For comprehensiveness of this notice the order hereby renewed is stated hereunder:

(a) The 331,661 shares referred to in the First Schedule filed with the Commission to be registered in the name of the Public Trustee of New Zealand as trustee for Customhouse Holdings Limited.
(b) The 138,709 shares referred to in the Second Schedule filed with the Commission to be registered in the name of the Public Trustee of New Zealand as trustee for United New Zealand Nominees Limited.
(c) That the directors of Carter Holt Holdings Limited register in the name of the Public Trustee all such transfers as are so submitted to it in registrable form.
