Exemption of Certain Motor Cycles from the Requirements
to be Fitted with Direction Indicator Lamps
PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 90 of the Traffic
Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts
vehicles of the type specified in the Schedule hereto from the
requirements of regulation 63 of the said regulations.

International Air Transport Association Restricted Articles
Regulations
The 23rd edition of the IATA Restricted Articles Regulations
shall come into force on the 1st day of December 1980.
These regulations, which form part of the Civil Aviation
Safety Order No. 13, and which are issued in New Zealand
under the authority of regulation 31 of the Civil Aviation
Regulations 1953, prescribe an extensive schedule of items,
the carriage by air of which is prohibited and which may only
be carried subject to specified conditions or restrictions.
Copies of these regulations will be available from the
Government Printer, International Section, Private Bag,
Wellington, at a cost of $29 each.

Producers’ Representatives on the Hop Marketing Committee

PURSUANT to clause 20 of the Schedule to the Hop Marketing
Regulations 1939, notice is hereby given that as the number
of persons nominated as producers’ representatives to the
Hop Marketing Committee did not exceed the number of
vacant positions, I hereby declare
Cole, Maurice Sidney;
Drummond, Owen Henry;
Eggers, Bruce James;
Hill, Joseph Thomas; and
Inglis, Thomas Elger;
being the persons duly nominated, to be duly elected as
producers’ representatives.

Insurance Companies Deposits Act 1953—Proposed Release
of Deposits
THE English and American Insurance Co. Ltd. has
given notice to the Public Trustee that it has ceased to carry on
classes 2 and 3 insurance business in New Zealand, and
proposes pursuant to section 19 of the above-mentioned Act
to withdraw the deposits which have been made by it with
the Public Trustee.
The Public Trustee therefore gives notice, pursuant to
section 19 (3) of the above-mentioned Act, that being
satisfied that the liabilities of the above-mentioned company
in respect of the classes of insurance designated as class 2
and class 3 in the First Schedule of the above-mentioned
Act have been provided for, he proposes to release to the
above-mentioned company on or after 20 October 1980, the
deposits made by it in respect of classes 2 and 3 insurance
business.
Any objections to the release of the deposits should be
lodged with the Public Trustee, Lambton Quay, Wellington 1,
on or before 13 October 1980.
