ROYAL REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY

Captain R. G. Stephens to be temp. Major, with effect from 21 July 1980.

ROYAL N.Z. ARMOURED CORPS

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) G. D. Harris to be Captain, with seniority from 20 June 1979, and effect from 13 June 1980, and is re-engaged to 10 January 1993.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) P. J. Speedy to be Captain, with seniority and effect from 20 June 1980.

THE CORPS OF ROYAL N.Z. ENGINEERS

Keith Michael Lang, N.Z.C.B., is appointed to a commission on a fixed term engagement of 3 years, in the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 1 July 1979, and effect from 1 July 1980.

ROYAL N.Z. CORPS OF SIGNALS

Lieutenant B. H. Drummond is transferred to the Supernumerary List, on reaching retiring age for rank, with effect from 14 July 1980.

ROYAL N.Z. INFANTRY REGIMENT

The following are re-engaged to the dates shown:

Captain Peter Anthony Allsop is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, in the rank of Captain, with effect from 2 May 1980.

16th Field Regiment, RNZA

Flight Lieutenant Desmond Ian Grant is transferred from the Reserve of Air Force Officers, RNZAF, in the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority and effect from 31 January 1980.

1st Squadron New Zealand Scottish, RNZAC

2nd Lieutenant P. J. Amyes resigns his commission, with effect from 7 July 1980.

ROYAL N.Z. INFANTRY REGIMENT

3rd Battalion (Auckland (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own) and Northland), RNZIR

2nd Lieutenant J. T. F. Potter to be Lieutenant, with seniority and effect from 3 July 1980.

4th Battalion (Otago and Southland), RNZIR

Major David Russell McMaugh, M.D.S., from the Australian Army, is appointed to a commission in the rank of Major, with seniority from 23 March 1977, and effect from 5 February 1980.

7th Battalion (Wellington (City of Wellington’s Own) and Hawke’s Bay), RNZIR

Lieutenant Barry William Searle is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 7th Battalion (Wellington (City of Wellington’s Own) and Hawke’s Bay), RNZIR, in his present rank, with effect from 19 June 1980.

ROYAL N.Z. CORPS OF TRANSPORT

3rd Transport Squadron, RNZCT

The following resign their commissions, with effect from the dates shown:

Captain Ernestine Dorothy Colwell is posted to the Retired List, with effect from 24 May 1980.

Captain (temp. Major) J. M. Grant to be Major, with seniority and effect from 1 May 1980, and temp. Lieutenant Colonel, with effect from 2 May 1980.

EXTRA REGIMENTAL EMPLOYMENT

Headquarters, 1st Task Force Region

Captain Nelson Roy Redshaw, RNZIR, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, in the rank of Captain, with effect from 1 July 1980.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) D. M. Hindle, RNZA, to be Captain, with seniority from 9 February 1977, and effect from 9 July 1980.

Headquarters, 3rd Task Force Region

Lieutenant Ellen Ann Brown, RNZAOC, is posted to the Retired List, with effect from 5 May 1980.

N.Z. Army Intelligence Centre

The commission of 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) R. M. Williams, RNZIR, is confirmed, with effect from 20 February 1978.

Lieutenant Kevin George Cripps resigns his commission, with effect from 8 May 1980.

RETIRED LIST

Royal N.Z. Army Medical Corps

Lieutenant Colonel P. P. E. Savage, E.D., M.B., CH.B., D.P.M., R.C.P. (LOND), and R.C.S. (ENG.), is re-posted to the Territorial Force in his present rank for the period from 18 to 29 June 1980, after which he reverts to the Retired List.

PURSUANT to the Industrial Design Act 1966, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

to be a member of the New Zealand Industrial Design Council for a term commencing on the 1st day of September 1980 and expiring on the 31st day of May 1981.
