Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at
Licensed Premises—Cheviot Licensing Trust

PURSUANT to section 34a (10) of the Licensing Trusts Act
1949 as amended by section 14 of the Licensing Trusts Amend-
ment Act 1976, I, John Fraser Robertson, Secretary for
Justice, hereby give notice that the Cheviot Licensing Trust
applied for orders which were granted at the Magistrate's
Court at Rangiora, on 10 December 1979, which authorised
variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the
public and further authorised the following hours of trading
for the licensed premises known as the Cheviot Trust Hotel.

To the intent that on days other than those on which
licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of
liquor to the public the hours for the opening and closing
of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Fri-
day, and Saturday (not being Christmas Eve or New
Year's Eve)—Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning
and closing at 10 o'clock in the evening.

(b) But on Saturday during the last Saturday in November
until and including the last Saturday in December
(not being New Year's Eve)—Opening at 11 o'clock
in the morning and closing at 11 o'clock in the
evening.

(c) On any Christmas Eve opening at 11 o'clock in the
morning and closing at 11 o'clock in the evening.

(d) On any New Year's Eve opening at 11 o'clock in the
morning and closing at 00.30 o'clock in the morning
of New Year's Day.

Certain Motor Vehicles

NOTICE

PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 88 of the Traffic
Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby
approves for the purposes of regulation 78 (1) (as inserted
by regulation 3 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, Amend-
ment No. 2), the fitting in the seating positions specified in
the Schedule hereto of the alternative types of seat belts
specified in the said Schedule to the vehicles specified in the
said Schedule.
