Revision of Invercargill Fire District Notice 1979

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the New Zealand Fire Service Commission hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. Title and commencement:
   (1) This notice may be cited as the Invercargill Fire District Notice 1979.
   (2) This notice shall come into effect on the 1st day of December 1979.

2. The Invercargill Fire District, declared to be a fire district by the Fire Service Act 1975, is hereby abolished, and a fire district to be known as the Invercargill Fire District is hereby constituted.

3. The boundaries of the Invercargill Fire District constituted by this notice are defined in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Southland County, Invercargill City, and Bluff Borough, bounded by a line commencing at the mean high-water mark of the sea at Stirling Point, situated in Block I, Campbeltown Hundred, and proceeding generally north-westerly along the mean high-water mark of Foveaux Strait and across the mouth of the New River Estuary and again along the mean high-water mark of the sea to the western corner of Block XVII, New River Hundred; thence generally north-easterly along the generally north-western boundary of Block XVII, aforesaid and that boundary produced to the middle of Waimatuku Bush Road; thence generally northerly along the middle of Waimatuku Bush Road to its intersection with the middle of McGaw Road; thence north-easterly along the middle of McGaw Road and the production of that middle line to the north-eastern side of State Highway No. 99; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern side of State Highway No. 99 to the western corner of Section 2, Block VI, New River Hundred; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Section 2 aforesaid and the north-western boundary of part Section 1 and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Argyie-Otahuti Road; thence northerly along the middle of that road and the middle of Waianiwa Spar Bush Road to the intersection with the middle of Horton Road, situated in Block II, Forest Hill Hundred; thence southerly along the middle of that road and its production to the middle of the old bed of the Makarewa River; thence generally easterly up the middle of the old bed of the Makarewa River to a point in line with the middle of the Grove Bush Woodlands Road; thence south-easterly to and along the middle of Grove Bush Woodlands Road to its intersection with the middle of State Highway No. 1; thence by a right line to and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of part Lot 26, D.P. 115 and its production to the middle of the Main South Railway; thence south-westerly along the middle of the Main South Railway for approximately 640 metres to a point in line with and along the middle of Woodlands South Road; thence southerly to and along the middle of Woodlands South Road and that line produced to the southern side of Hansen Road; thence westerly along the southern side of Hansen Road to the eastern boundary of Invercargill Hundred; thence generally south-westerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of Invercargill Hundred to the south-eastern corner of Section 59, Block IX, Campbeltown Hundred; thence generally westerly along the northern side of Masses Tramway Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 67, Block VIII, Campbeltown Hundred; thence southerly to and along that boundary and westerly along the southern boundary of Section 67, aforesaid to the eastern side of Waituna South Road; thence southerly along the eastern side of that road and the eastern boundary of Section 66, aforesaid and westerly along the southern boundary of that Section 66 to the eastern boundary of Section 15 aforesaid; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Section 15 and the eastern end of Hall Road and westerly along the southern side of Hall Road to the north-eastern corner of Section 17 aforesaid; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Section 17 aforesaid and the eastern boundaries of part Sections 2, 4, 6, 10, and 11, and by a right line across Buddle Road to the eastern boundary of part Section 12, and continuing southerly along the eastern boundaries of part Sections 12, 16, 17, 20, and 21, part Lot 1, D.P. 7916 and part Sections 24 and 25, Block XI, Campbeltown Hundred and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the mean high-water mark of Awarua Bay; thence generally south-westerly along the mean high-water mark of Awarua Bay and Bluff Harbour to the point of commencement, including therein the Bluff Island Harbour and the access road thereto and all wharves at Bluff.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, County of Southland, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Matura River due west of the northern boundary of Section 136, Block I, Toetoes Survey District; and proceeding easterly to and along that boundary and the northern boundary of Section 29, aforesaid, and the production of that last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Titiroa Stream; thence generally north-westerly up the middle line of that river to a point in line with the northern boundary of part Section 15, aforesaid; thence by a right line to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Matura Island Titiroa Road; thence north-westerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the northern boundary of part Lot 2, D.P. 415; thence north-easterly by a right line to and along that boundary to the western boundary of part Section 4 aforesaid; thence southerly and easterly along the western and southern boundaries of the aforesaid part Section 4 to and across Titiroa - Pine Bush Road and again along the southern boundary of the aforesaid part Section and its production to the middle of Matura Island - Fortrose Road; thence north-easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the generally northern boundary of part Lot 4, D.P. 1673; thence by a right line to and generally north-easterly along that boundary and the generally northern
