Notice to Export Marine Mammal Parts (No. 2237, Ag. 9/6/16/1)

PURSUANT to section 5 (5) of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, the Minister of Fisheries advises that the National Museum of New Zealand has applied for a permit to export a skull and jaws of a large Beaked Whale (Berardius arnouxii) to the Institute of Taxonomic Research, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, for purposes of a scientific exchange programme, and hereby calls for any submissions regarding this application to be made in writing within 28 days of publication of this notice.

Notice to Export and Import Marine Mammal Parts
(No. 2238, Ag. 9/6/16/1)

PURSUANT to section 5 (5) of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, the Minister of Fisheries advises that Mr Martin William Cawthorn, Fisheries Research Division, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Wellington, has applied for a permit to export and import seal skeletal material to and from South Africa for the purposes of a scientific exchange programme, and hereby calls for any submissions regarding this application to be made in writing within 28 days of publication of this notice.

Chatham Islands County Council Electric Lines Licence 1979

PURSUANT to section 20 of the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Energy licences the Chatham Islands County Council to lay, construct, put up, place and use electric lines, and to construct and use electric works for the transmission and supply of electricity within the area described in the Schedule hereto.

This licence is issued subject to the following conditions.

CONDITIONS

  1. This licence may be cited as the Chatham Islands Electric Lines Licence 1979.

  2. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except insofar as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

  3. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and with all regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefore except insofar as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

  4. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a) to (f) inclusive of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976.

  5. This licence shall be deemed to come into force on the 1st day of October 1979 and shall continue in force for a period of 10 years from that date unless it is sooner lawfully determined.

Revocation of Appointment of Certain Places in Which Magistrates’ Courts May be Held

PURSUANT to section 4 (5) of the Magistrates’ Courts Act 1947, I, The Right Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby—

(a) Revoke, as from the 13th day of October 1979, the appointment* of the places specified in Part A of the Schedule to this notice as places in which Magistrates’ Courts may be held for the exercise of civil and criminal jurisdiction:

(b) Revoke, as from the 13th day of October 1979, the appointment* of the places specified in Part B of the Schedule to this notice as places in which such Courts may be held for the exercise of criminal jurisdiction:

(c) Revoke, as from the 31st day of October 1979, the appointment* of the place specified in Part C of the Schedule to this notice as a place in which such Courts may be held for the exercise of civil and criminal jurisdiction:

(d) Revoke, as from the 31st day of October 1979, the appointment* of the places specified in Part D of the Schedule to this notice as places in which such Courts may be held for the exercise of criminal jurisdiction.
