Now, therefore, I, The Right Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting pursuant to the Commissions of Inquiry Act 1908, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby extend until the 28th day of December 1979 the time within which you are so required to report, without prejudice to the continuation of the liberty conferred upon you by the said Order in Council to report your proceedings and recommendations from time to time if you should judge it expedient so to do, and hereby confirm the said Order in Council and the Commission thereby constituted, save as modified by these presents.

The Maitai-Roding Rural Fire District Order 1949, Amendment No. 1

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 24th day of September 1979

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Forests and Rural Fires Act 1977, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Maitai-Roding Rural Fire District Order 1949, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the order constituting the Maitai-Roding Rural Fire District made on the 9th day of March 1949* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

  2. The principal order is hereinafter cited as the Maitai-Roding Rural Fire District Order 1949.

  3. The Schedule to the principal order is hereby amended by deleting from the Schedule thereto the area in the First Schedule and substituting the area in the Second Schedule.


FIRST SCHEDULE

SCHEDULE to be deleted from the Schedule of the principal order:

NELSON LAND DISTRICT—NELSON CONSERVANCY—WAIMEA COUNTY

AREA TO BE DELETED

First Schedule

ALL that piece of land contained by a line commencing on the south-eastern corner of Section 42, Block I, Maungatapu Survey District, and following the Maitai River in a westerly direction, generally, to the Maitai-Roding Rural Fire District Boundary, and following this boundary in a north-easterly direction, generally, until reaching the eastern boundary of Section 57, Block I, Maungatapu Survey District, and following this boundary south, continuing along the eastern boundary of Section 42, Block I, Maungatapu Survey District, to the point of commencement.


SECOND SCHEDULE

SCHEDULE to be substituted for the Schedule to the principal order:

NELSON LAND DISTRICT—NELSON CONSERVANCY—WAIMEA COUNTY

AREA TO BE ADDED

Second Schedule

ALL that piece of land contained by a line commencing at the Nelson City Boundary on the Maitai River, then following the river east and south to the boundary of the Maitai-Roding Rural Fire District, then in a westerly direction along the Fire District Boundary, to the Nelson City Boundary, then following this boundary in a northerly direction, generally, to point of commencement.

As shown on plan S. 20/14 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington.

Authorising the Papakura City Council to Reclaim Auckland Harbour Board Endowment Land from the Bed of Pahurehure Inlet

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 175 (3) and subject to sections 176 to 182 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Papakura City Council to reclaim from the bed of Pahurehure Inlet an area of 1.0550 hectares, more or less, of Auckland Harbour Board endowment land, as shown on plan M.D. (N) 587 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Auckland.

PURSUANT to the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated 19 September 1977, published in New Zealand Gazette, 20 October 1977, No. 107, page 2741, declaring the number of members and apportioning representation on the Hawke’s Bay Catchment Board, by deleting the Schedule thereto and substituting the following Schedule.
