19 September 1979, and pursuant to subsection 5 of section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby revokes its resolution dated 23 June 1971* made pursuant to the said section 4 insofar as it affects that part of the limited access road declaration for a width of 13 metres on the eastern side commencing at the point of junction of the southern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 28231 (part certificate of title 706/357), with the road reserve and extending northwards for 150 metres.

National Roads Board—Notice Partially Revoking Declaration of State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

REFERRING to State Highway No. 2, Katikati to Apata section, as more particularly shown on sheets 1 to 16 of Plan M.O.W. 17140 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Tauranga, and there available for public inspection, it is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 19 September 1979, and pursuant to subsection 5 of section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby revokes its resolution dated 23 June 1971* made pursuant to the said section 4 insofar as it affects that part of the limited access road declaration for a width of 13 metres on the eastern side commencing at the point of junction of the northern boundary of part Allotment 54, Parish of Te Mania (balance certificate of title 356/45), with the road reserve and extending southwards for 150 metres.

National Roads Board—Notice Partially Revoking Declaration of State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

REFERRING to State Highway No. 1, Paraparaumu to Paekakariki section, as more particularly shown on sheets 1 to 4 of Plan M.O.W. 16155 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Porirua, and there available for public inspection, it is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 19 September 1979, and pursuant to subsection 5 of section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby revokes its resolution dated 18 March 1970* made pursuant to the said section 4 insofar as it affects that part of the limited access road declaration for half its width on the southern side commencing 380 metres east of the western boundary of part Lot 3, D.P. 4269 (certificate of title 18D/457), and extending for 50 metres eastwards along the frontage of the said Lot 3.

REFERRING to State Highway No. 1, Oamaru to Kakamu section, as more particularly shown on sheets 1 and 2 of Plan M.O.W. 14848 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Oamaru, and there available for public inspection, it is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 19 September 1979, and pursuant to subsection 5 of section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby revokes its resolution dated 18 November 1968* made pursuant to the said section 4 insofar as it affects that part of the limited access road declaration for half its width on the western side commencing at the point of junction of the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 10703 (certificate of title 1c/853), with the road reserve and extending southwards for 40 metres across the frontage of the said Lot 1.

National Roads Board—Notice Partially Revoking Declaration of State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

REFERRING to State Highway No. 3A, Waitara to Inglewood section, as more particularly shown on sheets 1 to 3 of Plan LA 42/50/1 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, New Plymouth, and there available for public inspection, it is notified that the National Roads Board by resolution dated 19 September 1979 and pursuant to subsection 5 of section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby revokes its resolution dated 7 December 1977* made pursuant to the said section 4 insofar as it affects that part of the limited access road declaration for half its width on the western side commencing 120 metres south of the point of junction of the northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 6565 (certificate of title 162/36), with the road reserve and extending southwards for 50 metres.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Chartered Club—Southland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I John Fraser Robertson, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Southland Licensing Committee, on 25 June 1979, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the chartered club known as the Second N.Z.E.F. Association (Southland Branch) Incorporated.

To the intent that on days other than those on which chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to its members the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday, Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve) and Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On any New Year’s Eve. Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

Commission of Inquiry Into Rescue and Fire Services at International Airports

  1. In the matter of the above Commission of Inquiry notice is hereby given that the Commission has been appointed: . . . to inquire into and report upon the adequacy of the rescue and fire services operated by the Ministry of Transport at the Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch International Airports:

And in considering these matters you are hereby directed to have regard to and consider:

(a) The person or authority upon whom the duty to establish, maintain and operate the said services is imposed, and the Act or other authority under which such duty is imposed;

(b) The nature of the said services provided at the Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch International Airports;

(c) Whether the said services are appropriate to each airport and are in accordance with the standards, recommended practices, and guidance material of the International Civil Aviation Organisation, and, if not, the changes which are necessary or desirable;
