The instrument appointing a proxy and the power of Attorney, if any, under which it is signed or a notarially certified copy of that power shall be presented to the Chairman of any meeting of the Board before it can be validly exercised.

An instrument appointing a proxy shall be in the following form or a form as near thereto as circumstances admit:

I, __, of __, being a member of the above-named Board, hereby appoint __, of __, as my proxy to vote for me on my behalf at any meeting or meetings of the Board and any adjournments thereof held between the __ day of __ 19__ and the __ day of __ 19__.

- Where it is desired to afford members an opportunity of voting for or against a resolution the instrument appointing a proxy shall be in the following form or a form as near thereto as circumstances admit:

- A vote given in accordance with the terms of an instrument of proxy shall be valid notwithstanding the previous death or insanity of the principal or revocation of the proxy or the power of Attorney under which the proxy was executed, if no intimation in writing of such death, insanity, or revocation as aforesaid has been received by the Board the commencement of the meeting or adjourned meeting at which the proxy is used.”
(c) This notice shall come into operation on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.

Wanganui Harbour Board Exchange of Land
I, Colin Campbell Alexander McLachlan, Minister of Transport, pursuant to section 143A and section 143c (1) (b) (ii) of the Harbours Act 1950, and with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance do hereby specifically approve the exchange of the land vested in the Wanganui Harbour Board and described in the First Schedule hereto for New Zealand Railways land and the payment by the Department to the Board of the sum of $26,890 by way of equality of exchange. I do likewise approve the exchange of the land vested in the Wanganui Harbour Board and described in the Second Schedule hereto for land owned by Tenderkist Meats (N.Z.) Ltd. and the payment by the Board to Tenderkist Meats (N.Z.) Ltd. of the sum of $26,800 by way of equality of exchange.
FIRST SCHEDULE
All that parcel of land containing approximately 17636.3 square metres, more or less, situated on the right bank of the Wanganui River, being in Block VIII, Westmere Survey District, and also being Lots 2, 3, and 4 on Deposited Plan 23895.
SECOND SCHEDULE
All that parcel of land containing 5886 square metres, more or less, situated in the City of Wanganui, being part Reserve 104, right bank, Wanganui River, and being Lots 1 to 5 on Deposited Plan 23453 and being part of the land comprised in certificates of title, Volume 11B, folio 230, to Volume 11B, folio 234, Wellington Land Registry.
All that parcel of land containing approximately 4162.5 square metres, more or less, situated in the City of Wanganui, being part Reserve 104, right bank, Wanganui River, and being also Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 20007 and Lots 1 to 3 on Deposited Plan 20490, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume B4, folio 881, Wellington Land Registry.

Approval of Hospitals for the Purposes of Section 16 (1) of the Medical Practitioners Act 1968
PURSUANT to subsection (1) of section 16 of the Medical Practitioners Act 1968, the Minister of Health, acting on the recommendation of the Medical Council, hereby approves of the hospitals specified in the second column of the Schedule hereto, and controlled in each case by the authority indicated in respect thereof in the first column of that Schedule, as hospitals in which any person who is for the time being conditionally registered under that Act may practise medicine or surgery.
This notice amends the notice of approval of hospitals published in the New Zealand Gazette of 1977, No. 123, p. 3262, and that notice is hereby revoked.
