The Traffic (MacKenzie County) Notice No. 1, 1979

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (MacKenzie County) Notice No. 1, 1979.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

  4. The Traffic (MacKenzie County) Notice No. 1, 1977, dated the 19th day of May 1977†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, which relates to roads situated within MacKenzie County at Lake Tekapo, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within MacKenzie County at Lake Tekapo:

Allan Street.
Aorangi Crescent.
Greig Street.
Jeune Street.
Murray Place.
Pioneer Drive: from the western intersection with the No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton) to a point 160 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said road from the eastern intersection of Pioneer Drive with the said State highway.
Roto Place.
Scott Street.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within MacKenzie County at Lake Tekapo:

No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton): from a point 680 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said State highway from the Tekapo River control-gate bridge to a point 240 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said State highway from the Tekapo River control-gate bridge.

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rodney County) Notice No. 2, 1979.

  2. The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

  4. So much of the notice under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, dated the 27th day of April 1977†, which relates to Mahurangi East Road at Snells Beach, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Rodney County at Snells Beach:

Mahurangi East Road: from Snells Beach Road to the southern intersection of Mahurangi East Road and Rangimaarie Crescent.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Rodney County at Whangaparaoa:

Whangaparaoa Road: from a point 720 metres measured westerly, generally, along Whangaparaoa Road from Motuketekete Avenue to a point 50 metres measured westerly, generally, along Whangaparaoa Road from Siesta Terrace.
