NOTICE OF A PRIVATE BILL
THE EDEN PARK TRUST AMENDMENT ACT 1979

In the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to private bills, and in the matter of a private bill intituled “The Eden Park Trust Amendment Act 1979”:

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Standing Order 281 of the House of Representatives, that the Eden Park Trust Board, a body duly incorporated under the Eden Park Trust Act 1955, intends to present a petition to the House of Representatives in Parliament Assembled for the passing of the above-mentioned bill.

The object of the bill is to empower the Board to acquire and hold liquor licences under the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 for the purposes of enabling the Board to legally dispense liquor at the park whilst cricket matches are in progress in order to give better control over the consumption of alcohol within the confines of the park and in order to avoid disruption of games and discomfort of other spectators and to alleviate the nuisance caused to adjoining owners to the park.

The promoter of the bill is the Eden Park Trust Board whose address for service of notices and communications is at the offices of its duly appointed solicitors, Messrs Snedden Anderson and Co., Third Floor, Campbells Building, 16 Vulcan Lane, Auckland, where a copy of the bill may be inspected.

Printed copies of the bill will be deposited in the Private Bill Office, Parliament Buildings, Wellington, on or before the 12th day of July 1979.

Contains as in previous editions, a very full and comprehensive explanation of tidal phenomena.

Included in this edition is a new and extra caution to illustrate the effect on tidal streams and the probable increase in associated wave heights to be anticipated during spring tides. This caution will be of particular interest to the owners and navigators of small craft likely to be affected by strong tidal streams.

An additional 18 new places have been added to the list of secondary ports for which tidal information is now available.
