Resumption of Unformed Legal Road in Blocks VII and VIII, Wangapeka Survey District

PURSUANT to section 191b of the Counties Act 1956, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto, has been transferred to the Crown by the Waimea County Council pursuant to the said section 191b, and as from the date of this notice the land shall be deemed to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

State Forest Land Set Apart as a Dedicated Area—Pikiariki Ecological Area Notice 1979

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Forests Act 1949 (as inserted by section 2 of the Forests Amendment Act 1973, and amended by section 5 of the Forests Amendment Act 1976), the Minister of Forests hereby gives notice that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart and dedicated for the purposes of protection, maintenance, and management of trees and other plants, and for the protection of native wildlife consistent with the proper use and management of State forest land. The State forest land so dedicated shall be known as the Pikiariki Ecological Area.

His Excellency the Governor-General has advised that Her Majesty The Queen has been graciously pleased to approve the retention of the title “The Honourable” by:

Sir (Alan) Clifford PERRY,

on his retirement as a Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand on 10 July 1979.

The Traffic (Otaki Borough) Notice No. 1, 1979

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Otaki Borough) Notice No. 1, 1979.

2. The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

4. The notice dated the 17th day of September 1962†, issued pursuant to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to a road situated within Otaki Borough, is hereby revoked.
