The Taieri High School Board of Governors Notice 1979

PURSUANT to section 51 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Taieri High School Board of Governors Notice 1979.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1979.

  2. The Board of Governors of the Taieri High School shall be constituted as follows:

(a) One member appointed by the Otago Education Board.
(b) One member elected by teachers at the school.
(c) One member appointed jointly by the Mosgiel Borough Council and the Silver Peaks County Council.
(d) One member appointed by the Council of the University of Otago.
(e) Five members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school.
(f) One member appointed by the Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Otago Provincial District) Incorporated, who shall be a member of the Taieri Branch of that organisation.
(g) One member elected by members of the school committees of Arthur Burns, North Taieri, Outram, Henley, Momona, Allanton, Mosgiel West, East Taieri, Wylies Crossing, Berwick, Waipori, Fairfield, Reid Park, Lcc Stream, Strath Taieri, and Melville Park State primary schools, and Mosgiel Intermediate School.

  1. This notice is in substitution for the Taieri High School Board of Governors Order 1961.*

King’s High School Board of Governors Notice 1979

PURSUANT to section 54 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the King’s High School Board of Governors Notice 1979.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1979.

  2. There shall be a Board of Governors for King’s High School which shall be constituted as follows:

(a) One member appointed by the Otago Education Board;
(b) Five members elected by the parents of pupils attending King’s High School;
(c) One member elected by the teachers of King’s High School;
(d) One member appointed by the Council of the University of Otago;
(e) One member appointed by the King’s High School Old Boys Association;
(f) One member appointed by the Dunedin City Corporation and the St. Kilda Borough Council;
(g) One member co-opted by the Board of Governors itself, if and when it thinks fit.

  1. The Otago High Schools Board shall cease to control King’s High School and the sole control of that school shall be vested in the Board of Governors constituted by clause 2 of this notice.

The Local Government (Ohura River Bridge) Notice 1979

PURSUANT to sections 358 and 360 of the Local Government Act 1974, the Minister of Local Government hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Local Government (Ohura River Bridge) Notice 1979.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  2. Authorisation to construct a bridge—The Maraekowhai Development Company Limited, a duly incorporated Company having its registered office at Palmerston North, is hereby authorised to construct a bridge across the Ohura River over the areas described in the Schedule to this notice.

  3. Authorisation to make bylaws—The Taumarunui County Council is hereby authorised to make bylaws in respect of the said bridge for those matters specified in section 359 (a) of the Local Government Act 1974.

Amending Notice to the Open Season for Game in the Ashburton, South Canterbury, and Waitaki Valley Acclimatisation Districts

The Minister of Internal Affairs hereby gives notice that the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 14, of 22 February 1979, at p. 386, 388, and 389 relating to the open season for game in certain acclimatisation districts is amended as follows:

By the addition of the following in that portion of the Second Schedule which relates to the Ashburton, South Canterbury, and Waitaki Valley Acclimatisation Districts:

Game That May be Hunted Duration of 1979–80 Season
Grey and mallard duck 18 June to 1 July 1979 inclusive.
