FIRST SCHEDULE
-
Motu River: All the waters of the Motu River from its source to the sea.

Rangitaiki River: All the waters of the Rangitaiki River from its source to the sea.

Whakatane River: All the waters of the Whakatane River and its tributaries from the boundaries of the Urewera National Park to the reinforced concrete bridge on the main road between Whakatane and Te Teko, which point forms the inner harbour limits of the Whakatane Harbour.

Kaituna River: All the waters of the Kaituna River from its source to the sea.

Raukokore River: All the waters of the Raukokore River from its source to the sea.

Waioeka River: All the waters of the Waioeka River from its source to the sea.
-
Tarawera River: All the waters of the Tarawera River from Kawerau Borough to the sea.
-
Wairoa River: All the waters of the Wairoa River from its source to McLarens Falls which point forms the inner harbour limit of Tauranga Harbour.
SECOND SCHEDULE
-
Notwithstanding any other provision of this notice, no person who is permitted by any such provision to propel or navigate a small craft at a speed through the water exceeding 5 knots shall do so in any manner that is likely to endanger or unduly annoy any person who is on, in, or using the water, or fishing or undertaking any recreational activity in the vicinity of the small craft.

Any person wishing to enter those portions of the Rangitaiki and Motu Rivers which are within state forests shall first obtain the written consent of the Conservator of Forests or other lawful authority for the area concerned.

All persons in charge of a vessel shall adhere to and keep the provisions of all other Acts and regulations not specifically exempted by this notice.

The Water Recreation (Waihou River) Notice, 1979
PURSUANT to the Water Recreation Regulations 1979*, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of the powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby give the following notice:
NOTICE
- (a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Waihou River) Notice, 1979.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette and shall remain in force until revoked by further notice in the Gazette.

ALL the waters of the Waihou River from its source to the sea.
SECOND SCHEDULE

PURSUANT to the Water Recreation Regulations 1979*, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of the powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby give the following notice:
NOTICE
- (a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Waiapu River) Notice, 1979.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette and shall remain in force until revoked by further notice in the Gazette.
- Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulation 7 (1) (a) and (b) and 7 (2) of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979 shall not apply with respect to the areas described in the First Schedule hereto.

Exemption of Certain Motor Vehicles from the Requirements to be fitted with Interior Door Handles
PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 90 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts penal institution vans operated by the Justice Department from the requirements of subclause (2) of regulation 82 of the said regulations, in so far as it relates to the fitting of a door handle for opening the door of the rear compartment from inside, provided that whenever inmates are being transported they are accompanied in the same compartment by a prison officer of the Justice Department who carries a device capable of opening the door from inside the compartment.
