National Roads Board—Declaring a State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 18 April 1979, and pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 1 (Ashley River to Woodend) for a width of 13 metres on the eastern side commencing at the junction point of the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 41797 (C.T. 19A/917), and extending northwards for 100 metres, and as more particularly shown on sheet 1 of plan L.A. 63/16/1, and accompanying Schedule, held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Christchurch, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

National Roads Board—Declaring a State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 18 April 1979, and pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 6, Frankton to Queenstown (west), for one half of its width on the northern side commencing at the eastern boundary of the unformed legal road and extending 115 metres in an easterly direction across the frontages of Lots 1, 2, and 3, D.P. 16273 (C.T. 7B/1118, 7B/1119, and 7B/1117 respectively), and as more particularly shown on sheet 1 of plan L.A. 72/64/17/1, and accompanying Schedule, held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Alexandra, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

New Zealand Dairy Board Election—Notice of Election of Member for Eastern, Northern, and Wellington Wards

I, Jack Lionel Wright, Returning Officer, appointed under section 10 of the Dairy Board Act 1961, do hereby give notice of a poll to elect a member for the Eastern, Northern, and Wellington Wards on the New Zealand Dairy Board, and do hereby give further notice that Wednesday 18 April 1979, is the date on which the rolls of electors for these wards shall be closed; that the nominations of candidates for the election must be in my hands by noon on Wednesday, 16 May 1979, and that in the event of more than one candidate being nominated a poll will be held and that such a poll will close at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, 27 June 1979.

Approval of Seat Belts for Motor Vehicles

PURSUANT to regulation 81 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves the seat belts set out in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of regulation 78 (1) and (1A) of the said regulations.

SCHEDULE

SEAT belts complying with E.E.C. Directive 77/541 and labelled or otherwise marked accordingly.

Exemption of Certain Motor Cycles from the Requirements to be fitted with Direction Indicator Lamps

PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 90 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts vehicles of the type specified in the Schedule hereto from the requirements of regulation 63 of the said regulations.

This notice shall not apply to the same model motor cycle fitted with a battery as standard equipment.
