PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that the land, described in the First and Second Schedules hereto, is hereby taken for soil conservation and river control purposes and shall vest in the Wellington Regional Water Board, from and after the 3rd day of May 1979.

Notice of Intention to take land in Blocks I, V, and VI, Haparapara Survey District, Block VI, Whangaparaoa Survey District, Blocks II and III, Waiaua Survey District, and Block III, Tokata Survey District, Opotiki County, for road

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land to be used for the realignment of State Highway 35; and notice is hereby further given that the plans of the land so required to be taken are deposited in the post offices at Te Kaha and Opotiki, and are there open for inspection; that all persons directly affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice, to the Planning Tribunal at Wellington; and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.
