the air which shall constitute asbestos dust and the sampling
procedures to determine that concentration shall be those set
out in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONCENTRATION OF ASBESTOS FIBRES IN THE AIR

  1. In respect of fibres of chrysotile, amosite, tremolite,
    actinolite and anthophyllite there shall be—
    (a) An average concentration over any 4-hour sampling
    period of less than 2 fibres per ml. of air; and
    (b) A maximum concentration over any 10-minute sampling
    period of less than 12 fibres per ml. of air.

  2. In respect of fibres of crocidolite there shall be less than
    0.2 fibres per ml. of air over any 10-minute sampling period.

SAMPLING PROCEDURE

  1. A sample of the material which produces the dust shall
    accompany the dust sample.

  2. Sampling of dust shall be carried out with a sampling
    apparatus located within the breathing area of an employee
    and shall consist of a filter in a holder fastened to the
    employee’s clothing in the mid collarbone area with the filter
    aperture facing downwards.

ANALYSIS OF SAMPLES

  1. The identification of asbestos will be made by either
    X-ray diffraction, polarised light microscopy, electron micro-
    scopy or a combination of these.

  2. Fibre counting will be performed by phase contrast optical
    microscopy or electron microscopy or both.

Apple and Pear Prices Authority (Notice No. 2115, Ag. 3563)

PURSUANT to section 31A of the Apple and Pear Marketing
Act 1971, the Apple and Pear Prices Authority hereby fixes
an industry levy of 0.1 cents per kilogram for apples and pears
for the year ending the 30th day of June 1980.

Average Price for Apples and Pears for the 1978–79 Season
Declared (Notice No. 2116, Ag. 3563)

PURSUANT to section 27 (7) of the Apple and Pear Marketing
Act 1971, notice is hereby given that the average price to be
paid to growers by the New Zealand Apple and Pear
Marketing Board for apples and pears grown during the
1978–79 season shall be 10.4456 cents per kilogram of bare
fruit ungraded and unpacked and delivered to the receiving
depot of the board nearest to the orchard on which the fruit
was grown.

Notice Declaring Lands to be Infected Areas Under Potato
Cyst Nematode Regulations 1974 (No. 2085, Ag. 61422)

PURSUANT to regulation 3 (1) of the Potato Cyst Nematode
Regulations 1974, notice is hereby given that the following
lands are declared to be infected areas:

(b) Other land within a radius of 80 kilometres of the land
described in notice No. 1488—
(i) An area of 10 acres 2 roods 4.5 perches, or there-
abouts, situated west of and adjoining Marshland
Road, Christchurch, in Block VII, of the Christ-
church Survey District, comprising parts of rural
Sections 7670 and 7670X, and being Lot 1, on plan
deposited in the Land Registry Office as No. 3332,
C.T. 283/295 (Canterbury Registry).

This land was previously declared as (a) (i) in notice No.
1086.

This notice should be read together with notices No. 1086
dated March 26 1975, and No. 1488 dated July 28 1976.

Cyst Nematode Regulations 1974 (No. 2086, Ag. 61422)

PURSUANT to regulation 3 (1) of the Potato Cyst Nematode
Regulations 1974, notice is hereby given that the following
lands are declared to be infected areas:

(a) The land on which potato cyst nematode has been
found—
(i) An area of 2 hectares, more or less, situated north-
west of District Road and bordered by Reeves
Street and Kilgour Street, being Sections 1, 2, 3, 4,
5, 6, and 7, Deposited Plan 6336, and being part
Section 28, Sawyers Bay district in the Borough
of Port Chalmers, C.T. 1C/170 (Otago Registry).

(b) Other land within a radius of 80 kilometres of the land
described in paragraph (a) above being—
(i) An area of 2023 square metres, more or less, situated
south-east of Kilgour Street and bordered on the
east by Argyle Street, being Sections 12 and 13,
D.P. 98, Sawyers Bay district in the Borough of
Port Chalmers, C.T. 32/14 (Otago Registry).
(ii) An area of 984 square metres, more or less, situated
north-east of District Road, being Section 1, D.P.
8786, Sawyers Bay district in the Borough of Port
Chalmers, C.T. 405/90 (Otago Registry).
(iii) An area of 900 square metres, more or less, situated
north-east of Shandon Street, being Sections 8 and
9, D.P. 5011, Sawyers Bay district in the Borough
of Port Chalmers, C.T. 329/53 (Otago Registry).
(iv) An area of 2.9112 hectares, more or less, north-west
of District Road, Deborah Bay, being part Section
49, Block VI, in the North Harbour and Blueskin
district, C.T. 319/188 (Otago Registry).

(i) An area of 4 acres 2 roods 8.3 perches, more or
less, situated east of and adjoining Greenland,
Pukekohe, being part of Lot 1, C.P. 6611, and
part of Allotments 59, and 69, subsection 2, Parish
of Pukekohe, C.T. 195/284 (Auckland Registry).

This land was previously scheduled (b) (i) in notice No.
1875 dated February 24 1978.

This notice should be read together with notice No. 1875.

(b) Other land within a radius of 80 kilometres of the land
described in paragraph (a) above being—
(i) An area of 24 acres 2 roods 8 perches, more or less,
situated north of Waiuku Road, and adjoining
