Rate of Heavy Engineering Research Levy
PURSUANT to section 5 (1) of the Heavy Engineering Research Levy Act 1978, the Minister of Science and Technology hereby prescribes the rate of research levy to be $1.50 per tonne on all goods comprising those items of the Customs Tariff that are specified in column 1 of the Schedule below and which are more particularly described in column 2 of that Schedule.
The prescribed rate of levy shall be payable on all the specified items which are entered for home consumption under the Customs Act 1966, on or after 1 April 1979, and in the case of specified items produced in New Zealand shall be payable on all specified items sold by the producer on or after 1 April 1979.

Appointment of Customs Containerbase at Port of Christchurch
PURSUANT to section 32A of the Customs Act 1966 (as inserted by section 4 of the Customs Amendment Act 1968, and amended by section 5 of the Customs Acts Amendment Act (No. 2) 1976), I, Jack Alexander McLeod Kean, Comptroller of Customs, hereby appoint the place described in the Schedule hereto to be a Customs containerbase for the reception, examination, or protection of goods that are subject to the control of the Customs and are carried or to be carried in bulk cargo containers, for the purposes of that Act.

(b) Goods which have been delivered from the control of the Customs; or
