Declaring Road Taken for Railway Purposes at Grovetown

PURSUANT to section 45 of the Government Railways Act 1949 and sections 32 and 216 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for railway purposes on and after the 12th day of March 1979.

SCHEDULE

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT—MARLBOROUGH COUNTY

ALL that piece of land described as follows:

Area

941 Part Crown Grant Road, marked A on plan.

Situated in Block XVI, Cloudy Bay Survey District.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 30906 (S.O. 5558) deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon marked as above-mentioned.

Resumption of Unformed Road in Block XIV Mangamuka Survey District, Hokianga County

PURSUANT to section 191B Counties Act 1956, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto, has been transferred to the Crown by the Hokianga County Council, pursuant to the said section 191B and as from the date of this notice the land shall be deemed to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—HOKIANGA COUNTY

2107 square metres, more or less, being unformed legal road adjoining sections 4 and 249, and part Section 244, Town of Rawene, and Lots 1 and 4, D.P. 42906, and shown marked “A” on S.O. Plan 51526, situated in Block XIV, Mangamuka Survey District.

Catlins State Forest Park Advisory Committee

PURSUANT to the State Forest Park Regulations 1969, I hereby appoint the following persons to be members of the Catlins State Forest Park Advisory Committee for the terms indicated:

James Wallace Ramsay, for a term of 5 years from the date hereof.

George Newton Te Au, for a term of 5 years from the date hereof.

John Randall Burgess, for a term of 5 years from the date hereof.

Terrence William Buckingham, for the residue of the term for which his predecessor was appointed, that is, until 2 July 1980.

Ivan Fletcher Somerville, for the residue of the term for which his predecessor was appointed, that is, until 2 July 1981.

Gisborne Boys’ High School Senior Technical Division Notice 1979

PURSUANT to section 96A of the Education Act 1964 (as inserted by section 4 of the Education Amendment Act 1977), the Minister of Education gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Gisborne Boys’ High School Senior Technical Division Notice 1979.

  2. The Gisborne High Schools Board of Governors (in this notice referred to as “the board”) is hereby authorised to offer classes or courses in the technical subjects specified in the Schedule to this notice, at Gisborne Boys’ High School, to persons who are not enrolled as students at that school.

  3. (1) The following persons shall be added to the management committee established by the board pursuant to section 96A (2) of the Education Act 1964:

(a) One person to be appointed by the board on the nomination of the Tairawhiti District Maori Council;

(b) One person to be appointed by the board on the nomination of the Gisborne District Trades Council;

(c) One person to be elected by the full-time tutors of the Gisborne Boys’ High School Senior Technical Division from among their number;

(d) Up to three persons to be co-opted by the board itself if and when it thinks fit.

(2) The members appointed pursuant to paragraph (a), (b), and (c) of subclause (1) of this clause, shall serve as members of the management committee for a term of 2 years and shall be eligible to be reappointed from time to time.

(3) The members (if any) co-opted by the board itself pursuant to paragraph (d) of subclause (1) of this clause, shall serve as members of the management committee for such terms as the board thinks fit.

(4) If a member appointed pursuant to paragraph (a), (b), or (c) of subclause (1) of this clause, becomes for any reason unable to remain a member of the management committee, the board shall fill the vacancy thereby created by appointing a person who in its opinion, suitable for that vacancy; and the person so appointed shall serve as a member of the management committee for the residue of the term for which the vacating member was appointed.

SCHEDULE

The technical subjects referred to in clause 2 of this notice shall be the following:

Subjects towards a New Zealand Certificate awarded by the Technicians Certification Authority of New Zealand.

Subjects towards a Technical Certificate in Garage Management awarded by the Technicians Certification Authority of New Zealand.

Subjects towards a Hospital Officers Certificate.

Subjects towards a Trade Certificate or Advanced Trade Certificate awarded by the New Zealand Trades Certification Board.

Typing and Shorthand.

Subjects towards certificates in Industrial Practice in the following:

Boilerhouse Practice,
Civil Engineering Works Supervision,
Concrete Construction,
Concrete Supervision,
Farm Management,
Food Hygiene, and
Food Service.

Subjects in Senior Business or Secretarial Courses.

Subjects in the New Zealand Society of Accountants Examination.

Subjects towards the New Zealand Institute of Management, the New Zealand Institute of Valuers and the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand courses.

Ceramics.
