Defining the Middle Line of Portions of the Dunedin-Milton Motorway in the City of Dunedin

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1947, I, The Right Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of portions of the Dunedin-Milton Motorway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only that land situated within the limits shown on plans S.O. 19156, 19157, 19158, 19159, and 19160 referred to in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

COMMENCING at a point marked “A” approximately 18 metres north-east from the northern corner of part Lot 4, Deeds Plan 128, on a line joining that corner and the south-eastern corner of Lot 24, Deeds Plan 392, and proceeding thence in a generally south-westerly direction for a distance of 328 metres approximately to a point marked “B” on the south-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 3511, approximately 2 metres from the western corner of that Lot, passing through or over the following lands, viz: Railway Land (Proc. 2011), Lot 7, D.P. 3511 (Motorway G.N. 455628), Lot 6, D.P. 3511 (Motorway G.N. 443244), Lot 4, D.P. 3511 (Motorway G.N. 438194), Lot 3, D.P. 3511 (Motorway G.N. 448617) and Lot 2, D.P. 3511 (Motorway G.N. 440458), all situated in Block VI, Town Survey District, City of Dunedin; as shown on plan S.O. 19156, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Dunedin.

Commencing at a point marked “B” on the south-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 3511, approximately 2 metres south-east from the western corner of that Lot and proceeding thence in a, generally, south-westerly direction for a distance of 315 metres, approximately, to a point marked “C” on the south-western boundary of part Section 11, Block VI, Town Survey District, approximately 8 metres north-west from the southern corner of that Section passing through or over the following land, viz: Lot 1, D.P. 3511 (Motorway G.N. 441440), Lot 4, D.P. 2660 (C.T. 180/141), Lot 5, D.P. 2660 (Motorway G.N. 441443), Railway (Proc. 2011) and part Section 11 (Reserve for Recreation Ground, Gazette, 1882, p. 1340), all situated in Block VI, Town Survey District, City of Dunedin, as shown on plan S.O. 19157, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Dunedin.

Commencing at a point marked “C” on the south-western boundary of part Section 11, Block VI, Town Survey District, approximately 8 metres north-west from the southern corner of that section and proceeding thence in a generally south-westerly direction for a distance of 325 metres, approximately, to a point marked “D” on the western boundary of part Section 19, Block VI, Town Survey District, approximately 13 metres north of the boundary between that Section and the Main South Railway (Proc. 2011) passing through or over the following lands, viz: Railway Land (Proc. 2011), Lot 3, D.P. 4214 (C.T. 298/247), part Section 18, D.P. 2984 (C.T. 192/123), Goodall Street, part Section 18 (Better Utilisation G.N. 336294), Lot 3, D.P. 1218 (Better Utilisation G.N. 312686), Lot 2, D.P. 1218 (Motorway G.N. 496728), Catherine Street, Lot 4, D.P. 2963 (Motorway G.N. 438195), Lot 3, D.P. 2293 (Better Utilisation G.N. 307288), Lots 3 and 2, D.P. 2293 (Better Utilisation G.N. 432060) and part Section 19 (C.T. 275/169), all situated in Block VI, Town Survey District, City of Dunedin, as shown on plan S.O. 19158, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Dunedin.

Commencing at a point marked “D” on the western boundary of part Section 19, Block VI, Town Survey District, approximately 13 metres north of the boundary between that Section and the Main South Railway (Proc. 2011) and proceeding thence in a, generally, westerly direction for a distance of approximately 335 metres to a point marked “E” on the eastern boundary of Lot 5, Block I, D.P. 140, being part Section 27, Block VI, Town Survey District, approximately 1 metre north from Ballance Street passing through or over the following lands, viz: Shortland Street, part Section 19, D.P. 1987 (Better Utilisation G.N. 333148), part Lots 19 and 27, D.P. 1987 (Better Utilisation G.N. 275688), part Lot 27, D.P. 1987 (Better Utilisation G.N. 339667), part Lot 25, D.P. 1987 (Better Utilisation G.N. 304314), Sydney Street, Lots 2 and 3, D.P. 5976 (C.T. 318/65) and Rockdale Avenue, all situated in Block VI, Town Survey District, City of Dunedin, as shown on plan S.O. 19159, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Dunedin.

Commencing at a point marked “E” on the eastern boundary of Lot 5, Block I, D.P. 140, being part Section 27,

Block VI, Town Survey District, approximately 1 metre north from Ballance Street and proceeding thence in a, generally, westerly direction for a distance of 270 metres approximately to a point marked “F” approximately 8 metres north of the most-western corner of part Lot 5, D.P. 573, on a production of the western boundary of that Lot passing through or over the following lands, viz: Lot 5, Block I, D.P. 140 (Better Utilisation G.N. 31463), Lot 4, Block I, D.P. 140 (Better Utilisation G.N. 333148), Ballance Street, Lot 15, Block II, D.P. 140 (Better Utilisation G.N. 283288), Lots 12, 11, 10 and 9, Block II, D.P. 140 (Better Utilisation G.N. 298050), Lot 2, D.P. 8428 (C.T. 385/78), Lot 1, D.P. 8428 (Better Utilisation G.N. 291705) and Aberfeldy Street, all situated in Block VI, Town Survey District, City of Dunedin, as shown on plan S.O. 19160, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Dunedin.

Adding Land to Fiordland National Park

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 19th day of February 1979

THE RIGHT HON. R. D. MULDOON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the date hereof, be added to and form part of Fiordland National Park and shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with by the Fiordland National Park Board in accordance with the provisions of the said Act.

His Excellency the Governor-General directs it to be notified that the Exequatur in respect of the appointment of

as Honorary Consul-General for Finland, at Wellington, with jurisdiction throughout the North Island, with the exception of Auckland, has been issued.
