National Roads Board—Notice Partially Revoking Declaration
of State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

REFERRING to State Highway No. 1, Oamaru to Kakaniu
River section, as more particularly shown on sheets 1 to 2
of plan M.O.W. 14848 and accompanying Schedule held in
the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works
and Development, Oamaru, and there available for public
inspection, it is notified that the National Roads Board by
resolution dated 21 November 1979 and pursuant to sub-
section 5 of section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act
1963, hereby revokes its resolution dated 18 November 1968*
made pursuant to the said section 4 insofar as it affects that
part of the limited access road declaration for one half of its
width on the eastern side commencing at the point of junction
of the northern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 314 (certificate of
title 331/3) and the State highway and extending southward
for 120 metres along the frontage of the said Lot 4.

Notice of Approval of Alternative Types of Seat Belts for
Certain Motor Vehicles

NOTICE

PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 88 of the Traffic
Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby
approves for the purposes of regulation 78 (1) (as inserted
by regulation 3 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, Amend-
ment No. 2), the fitting in the seating positions specified in
the Schedule hereto of the alternative types of seat belts
specified in the said Schedule to the vehicles specified in
the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE

  1. In respect of Toyota Hi-Ace Vans model RH20RV-JRE
    (with vehicle unit numbers up to 1381) and Toyota Hi-Aces
    Chassis Cab model RH11R-JR3 (with vehicle unit numbers
    up to 391), three-point lap and diagonal seat belts, not
    including dual sensitive emergency locking retractors, of an
    approved type for the use of the driver and the front seat
    nearest the left side of the vehicle (or the right side of the
    vehicle in respect of a left-hand drive vehicle).

  2. In respect of Toyota Corollas hardtop model KE35R-KSB
    (with vehicle unit numbers up to 3681), three-point lap and
    diagonal seat belts, including emergency locking retractors
    with webbing sensitive actuation only, of an approved type
    for the use of the driver and the front seat passenger nearest
    the left side of the vehicle (or the right side of the vehicle
    in respect of a left-hand drive vehicle).

  3. In respect of Toyota Coronas Estate Wagon Models
    TT132RG-TWKDS (with vehicle unit numbers up to 781),
    and TT132RG-TWHDS (with vehicle unit numbers up to
    381), two-point lap seat belts of an approved type for the
    use of the rear seat passenger nearest the left side of the
    vehicle and the rear seat passenger nearest the right side of
    the vehicle.

Notice of Final Decision of New Zealand Geographic Board
Reassigning of Place Names

WHEREAS pursuant to section 12 of the New Zealand Geo-
graphic Board Act 1946, notice was given on the 5th day
of July 1979 of the intention of the New Zealand Geographic
Board to assign the names set out in the Schedule attached
to the said notice; and whereas pursuant to section 13 of
the said Act, no objections have been received to such of
the proposed names as are set out in the First Schedule
hereto.

Now, therefore, pursuant to sections 14 and 15 of the
said Act, notice is hereby given that the names set out in
the First Schedule hereto are final decisions of the Board
and that such decisions will take effect on the 29th day
of November 1979.

Plans showing the location of the features may be inspected
at the office of the Chief Surveyor for the Department, or
at the office of the Secretary of the Board.
