Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Wellington Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, John Fraser Robertson, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Wellington Licensing Committee, on 7 November 1979, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Stokes Valley Motor Inn Limited.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public, the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday and Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 10 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On any Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(d) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public, the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday and Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On every New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

National Roads Board—Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 21 November 1979 and pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 4, Manunui to Owahango section for half its width on the western side from the junction of the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 48909 (certificate of title 19c/111) with the State highway and extending northwards to the junction of Otapouri Road with the State highway, as more particularly shown on sheet 1 of plan L.A. 41/54/4 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Taumarunui, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

National Roads Board—Notice Partially Revoking Declaration of State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

REFERRING to State Highway No. 1, Himatangi to Motuiti Road section, as more particularly shown on sheets 1 to 3 of plan L.A. 44/19/1 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Palmerston North, and there available for public inspection, it is notified that the National Roads Board by resolution dated 21 November 1979 and pursuant to subsection 5 of section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby revokes its resolution dated 16 March 1977* made pursuant to the said section 4 insofar as it affects that part of the limited access road declaration for a width of 13 metres on its western side commencing 100 metres south of the point of junction of the northern boundary of section 779, Town of Carnarvon (certificate of title 13B/270) with State Highway No. 1 and extending southwards for 200 metres along the frontage of the said Section 779.
