Mataura Fire District Notice 1979

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the New Zealand Fire Service Commission hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. Title and commencement:
   (1) This notice may be cited as the Mataura Fire District Notice 1979.
   (2) This notice shall come into effect on the 1st day of December 1979.

2. The Mataura Fire District, declared to be a fire district by the Fire Service Act 1975, is hereby abolished, and a fire district to be known as the Mataura Fire District is hereby constituted.

3. The boundaries of the Mataura Fire District constituted by this notice are defined in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Southland County, and Mataura Borough, bounded by a line commencing at the south-eastern corner of Block XIII, Waikaka Survey District; and proceeding generally north-westerly along the south-western boundary of that block, to the middle of the Maitura River; thence generally south-westerly down the middle of the Maitura River to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 62, D.P. 135; thence north-westerly to and along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 62 aforesaid to the middle of Charlton Stream; thence generally northerly up the middle of that stream to the south-eastern corner of Block IX, Waimumu Hundred, thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Block IX, and VIII, Waimumu Hundred, to the middle of the Hedgehope Stream; thence generally south-westerly down the middle of the stream to the western boundary of Block XI, Waimumu Hundred; thence southerly and easterly along the western and southern boundaries of Block XI, aforesaid to the north-western corner of Block IX, Lindhurst Hundred; thence generally south-westerly and south-easterly along the north-western and south-western boundaries of Block IX, Lindhurst Hundred to the middle of the Maitura River; thence generally south-easterly down the middle of that river to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 875, Block IV, Tutarau Survey District; thence by a right line to and along that boundary and the southern boundary
