The Traffic (Waimea County) Notice No. 2, 1979
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waimea County) Notice No. 2, 1979.

The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.*

SITUATED within Waimea County at Brooklyn:
Old Mill Road: from Shaggery Road to Umukuri Road.
Umukuri Road: from Old Mill Road to Little Sydney Road.

Electric Lines Licence Authorising the Department of Lands and Survey to Erect and Use Electric Lines
PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Energy hereby licenses the Department of Lands and Survey subject to the following conditions, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS

This licence is subject to compliance with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and all regulations made in amendment of, or in substitution for any of those regulations.

The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, and shall be an alternating current system.

This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1994.
SCHEDULE
ELECTRIC lines leading from the licensee’s generator to various Lands and Survey buildings and also to a New Zealand Post Office transmitter.
All being situated in Block IV, Totaranui Survey District, in the County of Golden Bay, as shown on the plan marked N.Z.E. 980 deposited in the office of the Electricity Division of the Ministry of Energy at Wellington.

Price Order No. 147 (Ecuadorian Bananas)
PURSUANT to the Commerce Act 1975, I, Desmond James Gasson, pursuant to a delegation from the Secretary of Trade and Industry hereby make the following price order:

This order may be cited as Price Order No. 147 and shall come into force on the 26th day of November 1979.

(1) Price Order No. 133* is hereby revoked.
(2) The revocation of the said order shall not affect the liability of any person for any offence in relation thereto committed before the coming into force of this order.
- References in this order to metropolitan areas are references to the metropolitan areas described in the Schedule hereto.
APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER
- This order applies with respect to all Ecuadorian bananas sold by way of retail in New Zealand.
MAXIMUM RETAIL PRICES OF ECUADORIAN BANANAS
- (1) The maximum price that may be charged or received by any retailer for any Ecuadorian bananas to which this order applies shall be:
(a) When sold by a retailer carrying on business in any of the metropolitan areas of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, or Dunedin, or in any of the Cities or Boroughs of Whangarei, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Gisborne, New Plymouth, Stratford, Hawera, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Napier, Hastings, Masterton, Blenheim, Nelson, Greymouth, Timaru, Westport, Oamaru, Balclutha, Gore or Invercargill—97 cents a kilogram.
(b) When sold by a retailer carrying on business elsewhere—99 cents a kilogram.
(2) If in respect of any lot of bananas the price calculated in accordance with the foregoing provisions of this clause is not an exact number of cents, the maximum price of the lot shall be computed to the nearest whole cent.
PROVISIONS FOR SPECIAL PRICES
- Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the foregoing provisions of this order, and subject to such conditions, if any, as he thinks fit, the Secretary, on application by any retailer, may authorise special maximum prices in respect of any Ecuadorian bananas to which this order applies where special circumstances exist, or for any reason extraordinary charges (freight or otherwise) are incurred by the retailer. Any authority given by the Secretary under this clause may apply with respect to a specified lot or consignment of bananas, or may relate generally to all Ecuadorian bananas to which this order applies sold by the retailer while approval remains in force.
DUTY IMPOSED ON RETAILERS
- Every retailer who offers or exposes for sale in any shop any Ecuadorian bananas, to which this order applies shall keep in a prominent position, in such proximity to the bananas to which it relates as to be obviously in relation thereto, a ticket, placard, or label on which shall be stated in legible and prominent characters the following particulars:
(a) The retail price a kilogram of the bananas.
(b) The word “Ecuadorian”.
