Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, subject to and together with the encumbrances listed in the said Schedule and applicable as shown, such land being no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired.

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army.

Captain and Quartermaster J. E. Hancox to be temp. Major and Quartermaster, with effect from 5 November 1979.

ROYAL N.Z. ARMOURED CORPS

ROYAL N.Z. CORPS OF SIGNALS

Lieutenant-Colonel J. Willson to be acting Colonel, with effect from 25 October 1979, and temp. Colonel, with effect from 1 November 1979.

Captain E. J. Knowsley to be temp. Major, with effect from 4 October 1979.

Captain P. D. Ross is re-engaged to retiring age for rank.

ROYAL N.Z. CORPS OF TRANSPORT
