HOKIANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given that the Hokianga County Council intends, under the provisions of the Counties Act 1956, to execute a certain work, namely a road, and for the purposes of such work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928; and notice is further given that a plan showing the said land is deposited at the office of the council situated at Parnell Street, Rawene, and may there be inspected without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the said work or by the taking of the said land and who have an objection thereto, not being an objection as to the amount or payment of compensation, must state their objections in writing and send the same to the Secretary, Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, Private Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington, so as to reach him not later than the 1st day of February 1979, being 40 days after the first publication of this notice.

CITY OF DUNEDIN

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Dunedin City Council (hereinafter called “the council”) proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely to widen the street known as Highgate within the City of Dunedin and for the purposes of such public work the parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for the purpose of street; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the council, situate in the Octagon, Dunedin, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation should set forth such objection in writing and send the same within 40 days of the first publication of this notice to The Planning Tribunal, care of Tribunals Division, Private Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

ALL that piece of land situated in the City of Dunedin containing 41 square metres, more or less, being Lot 2,

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN THE COUNTY OF TAURANGA

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mount Maunganui Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Public Works Act 1928, to take the lands and interests in land described in the Schedule hereto for purposes of water supply reticulation and access thereto all of the lands involved being situate in the County of Tauranga on or near Pyes Pa Road, Tauranga; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the lands and interests required to be taken is deposited in the public offices of the Mount Maunganui Borough Council and the Tauranga County Council and is there open for inspection; that all persons directly affected by the taking of the said lands and interests should, if they have any objection to the taking of the same, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice to the Planning Tribunal, at Wellington; and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SPECIAL ORDER

PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC IN ATHOL TERRACE

NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of its powers under section 198c of the Counties Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council, at its ordinary meeting held in the Council Chambers, Fendalton, on Wednesday, 18 October 1978, resolved by way of special order to prohibit the driving, riding or parking of any vehicle, except bicycles, at any time, in the portion of Athol Terrace from the eastern boundary of Peer Street to a point 15 metres, generally, to the east measured along Athol Terrace as shown on Plan T.P. 150 held at the council office.

The effect of the proposed order is to make Athol Terrace, between Peer Street and Waimairi Road, into a cul-de-sac with vehicular access only from Waimairi Road. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will not be affected and the entrance-ways to residential properties will also be unaffected.

Public notice of the special order was given in The Press and Christchurch Star on 21 October and 9 December 1978.

The resolution relating to the special order was confirmed as a special order by the council at its ordinary meeting held on 18 December 1978.

No objections were received to the special order which will not come into effect prior to 1 February 1979.
