Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the County of Wanganui
(No. 2031, Ag. 12/10/4/2)

PURSUANT to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture
under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Act 1953, for
the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following
special order made by the Wanganui County Council, on the
14th day of July 1978, is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by
section 3 (1) of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and amendments
thereto, the Wanganui County Council hereby, by way of
special order declares that the plant named in the Schedule
to be a noxious weed within the whole of the County of
Wanganui.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards
Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New
Zealand Standard specification is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 7603 Polyethylene refuse sacks.

This draft covers polyethylene sacks issued by local bodies
for the collection of both domestic and commercial refuse. It
provides a material specification, lays down testing procedures
to be used during manufacture of the sacks, and permits the
use of recycled polyethylene (as requested by the Department
of Trade and Industry).

All persons who may be affected by this publication and
who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies from the
Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center,
15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 1 December
1978.
