Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948, as from the 26th day of October 1978.

Revocation of the Reservation over Part of a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation over that part of the reserve for local purpose (plantation), described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Rodney County Council at current market value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the council's reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

Resumption of Unformed Road, Town of Papatowai, Clutha County

Pursuant to section 191b of the Counties Act 1956, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that the land, described in the Schedule hereto, has been transferred to the Crown by the Clutha County Council, pursuant to the said section 191b, and as from the date of this notice the land shall be deemed to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

The Traffic (Winton Borough) Notice No. 1, 1978

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Winton Borough) Notice No. 1, 1978.

2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

4. The Traffic (Winton Borough) Notice No. 1, 1969, dated the 23rd day of September 1969†, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Winton Borough, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Situated within Winton Borough:

No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth): from the southern boundary of Winton Borough to a point 460 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said State Highway from Eglington Street; and from the northern boundary of Winton Borough to a point 40 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said State Highway from Grange Street.

Eglington Street: from the western boundary of Winton Borough to a point 40 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said street from Mackenzie Street.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 2, 1978.

2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

4. So much of the Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 2, 1977, dated the 26th day of May 1977†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, which relates to roads situated within Whangarei County at One Tree Point, is hereby revoked.

Situated within Whangarei County at One Tree Point:

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the western side of One Tree Point Road 150 metres measured southerly, generally, along the western side of the said road from Shearwater Road; thence due west by a right line to the shore of the Whangarei Harbour; thence north-easterly, easterly and south-easterly, generally, along the said shore-line to a point on the said shoreline due north of the eastern end of Albany Road; thence due south by a right line to the eastern end of Albany Road; thence westerly, generally, along the northern side of Albany Road to its intersection with the northern side of One Tree Point Road; thence north-westerly and southerly, generally, along the northern and western side of One Tree Point Road to the commencing point.
