The Traffic (Waimea County) Notice No. 3, 1978

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waimea County) Notice No. 3, 1978.

  2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 1st day of December in each year and ending with the Tuesday following Easter each year shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 50 kilometres-an-hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE

Situated within Waimea County adjacent to Nelson City: Maitai Valley Road: from the eastern boundary of Nelson City to a point 3700 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said road from the said boundary.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 4217 Pressed metal roofing tiles

This draft defines the quality of the material used in the manufacture of pressed metal roofing tiles. In addition it suggests a suitable means of fixing the tiles on new or existing structures.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 14 November 1978.
