Declaring Land in the North Auckland Land District, Vested in the Auckland Education Board as a Site for a School, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Auckland Education Board as a site for a school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every education trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—HOKIANGA COUNTY
SECTION 77, Block X, Mangamuka Survey District: area, 242 square metres, more or less (S.O. Plan 24007).

Varying the North Canterbury Catchment District Order 1970

Present:

THE RT. HON. R. D. MULDOON, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Water and Soil Conservation Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby varies the Order in Council made on the 27th day of October 1970, and published in the Gazette on the 5th day of November 1970, at page 1992, by revoking the Second Schedule thereto and substituting the following, such variation to take effect on the 1st day of April 1978.

SECOND SCHEDULE

THE areas in respect of which special provisions apply:

(A) COUNTY OF MOUNT HERBERT

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District commencing at a point at mean high-water mark of the sea at the head of Big Bay, Block III, Pigeon Bay Survey District; thence in a southerly direction to and along the western boundary of the road passing through Rural Sections 27872, 33229, 24754, 24758, and 24762, to the southern boundary of the last-named section; thence westerly along the said southern boundary of Section 24762 to the Maori Reserve 874, and south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of that Reserve, to and along the eastern and southern boundaries of R.S. 28979 to the eastern boundary of R.S. 33517, Block V,
Pigeon Bay Survey District; thence southerly along the said eastern boundary of R.S. 33517, and the eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 28980 and 26939, to and along the western side of the road running through Rural Sections 28291, 24203, and 32152, to its junction with the Summit Road (on the north-west boundary of Morice Settlement), being the northern boundary of the Wairewa County as described in N.Z. Statutes No. 8, 1912, page 307; thence generally in a westerly direction along that boundary to the summit of the Port Hills; thence generally in a north-easterly direction by the summit of the said Port Hills to the north-eastern boundary of Maori Reserve 875 (Raupaki) at the western boundary of the Borough of Lyttelton; thence in a south-easterly direction along the said north-eastern boundary of Maori Reserve 875 to the Lyttelton Harbour; thence by a right line in a south-easterly direction to mean high-water mark at Church Gully in Church Bay, and thence in an easterly direction generally along the northernmost corner of Rural Section 243E; thence to and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of said Rural Section 243E to the easternmost corner of that section; thence south-westerly across a right-of-way following along the south-eastern boundary of said R.S. 243E to the south-western side of that right-of-way; thence in a south-easterly direction along the south-western side of that right-of-way to the Charteris Bay Road; thence easterly generally along the northern side of that road and the southern boundary of R.S. 22982 and its continuation easterly along mean high water-mark of the sea; thence again generally easterly along mean high water-mark of the sea to the head of Big Bay, the point of commencement.

(B) COUNTY OF AKAROA

All that area in the Canterbury Land District commencing at a point on the mean high-water mark of the sea, at the head of Big Bay, Block III, Pigeon Bay Survey District, and in line with the western boundary of a road passing through Rural Sections 27872, 33229, 24754, 24758, and 24762; thence south-easterly, southerly, and south-westerly generally along the mean high-water mark of the sea to Truini Point, Block XII, Akaroa Survey District; thence south-westerly along a right line to Timutimu Head; thence westerly along the mean high-water mark of the sea to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 22707, Block XI, Akaroa Survey District; thence north-easterly generally to and along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Rural Section 22755, the south-western, north-western, and north-eastern boundaries of Rural Section 23314 and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Maginnes Road; thence north-easterly along the middle of Maginnes Road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Rural Section 4547; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary to the westernmost corner of the said Rural Section 4547; thence northerly along a right line to Trig. Station C (Bosst), Block VII, Akaroa Survey District; thence north-westerly and northerly generally along the summit of the range passing through Carcws Peak, Saddle Hill, Wainui Pass, and French Hill, to the south-eastern side of the Christchurch-Akaroa State Highway No. 74 at Barrys Pass (Hill Top); thence south-westerly generally along the south-eastern side of the said State highway to a point opposite the southernmost corner of Reserve 1259; thence northerly generally along a right line to the said point; thence along the western boundary of Reserve 1259 aforesaid and its production to the northern side of a road forming the northern boundary of the said reserve (Harmans Track); thence easterly generally along the northern side of that road, the Christchurch-Akaroa State Highway No. 74, and the Little River to Pigeon Bay Summit Road, to the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 11294; thence north-easterly generally along that boundary, the eastern boundary of part Lot 11, D.P. 4902, and the south-eastern boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 4902, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Purau or Summit Road; thence north-westerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the western side of a road passing through Rural Sections 32152, 33405, 24203, and 28291; thence northerly to and along that roadside to the northern boundary of Rural Section 28291; thence northerly and north-easterly generally to and along the eastern boundary of Rural Section 26939, the crossing of a public road, to and along the western and northern boundaries of Lot 3, D.P. 8086, to the western side of a road passing through Rural Sections 24762, 24758, 24754, 33229, and 27872; thence northerly generally along that roadside and its production to the mean high-water mark of the sea at the head of Big Bay, being the point of commencement.
