Defining the Middle Line of Portions of the Timaru–Milton and Blenheim–Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth State Highways in the Borough of Cromwell and the County of Vincent

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, The Right Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of portions of roads desired to be constructed in the Borough of Cromwell and County of Vincent, viz, a relocation of the Timaru–Milton and Blenheim–Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth State Highways shall be as defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only the land situated within the limits of the areas shown shaded on plans S.O. 18848 and 18854 referred to in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

COMMENCING at a point on the boundary between Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 2970, being parts Section 21, Block III, Cromwell Survey District, 312 metres approximately east of the eastern side of an unnamed street and proceeding in a generally south-easterly direction for a distance of 566 metres approximately, passing in, into, through or over the following land, viz: Lot 1, D.P. 2970, being part Section 21, Block III, Cromwell Survey District (6C/309), part Section 3, Block II, Wakefield Survey District (1C/205), Lot 1, D.P. 10591, being part Sections 1 and 3, Block V, Wakefield Survey District, and terminating at a point on the eastern side of the last mentioned Lot, 75 metres approximately north-east of the junction of the south-east corner of Section 3, Block V, Wakefield Survey District and the western end of an unnamed street. All being situated in the Borough of Cromwell; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan numbered S.O. 18848, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Dunedin.

Commencing at a point on the south-eastern side of Part-ridge Road, 30 metres approximately north-east from the road angle marking the intersection of the road sides bearing 12° 07′ and 42° 09′ and proceeding in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 700 metres approximately, passing in, into, through or over the following land, viz: Part Section 63, (C.T.A. 1/346) Block V, Wakefield Survey District, and terminating at a point within part Section 63, 55 metres approximately from, and perpendicular to, a point marked “X” on the eastern side of Partridge Road measured 335 metres approximately along that roadside from the intersection of that roadside with the boundary of part Section 63, Block V, Wakefield Survey District and Section 16, Block VI, Wakefield Survey District, all situated in Vincent County; as the same is delineated on a plan numbered S.O. 18854, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Dunedin.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, The Right Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road and shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Whangarei, as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 9th day of February 1978.
