Representative of a Former Employee of the Harbour Board Appointed to Nelson Harbour Board Appeal Board

PURSUANT to section 45 (2) of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint Hamilton Thompson

to be a member of the Appeal Board set up to determine whether a former employee of the Nelson Harbour Board, Jack Atmore Brown, is entitled to payment or emolument which may have been properly due to him on the termination of his employment.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block VII, Tarawera Survey District, for a Highway Depot

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for a highway depot, the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land to be used for the storing and maintenance of plant used in work on State Highway No. 5; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land, so required to be taken, is deposited in the post offices at Te Haroto and Napier, and is there open for inspection; that all persons directly affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection, and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.
