Classification of Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby declares the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, to be classified as a reserve for scenic purposes subject to the provisions of the said Act.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—OTAMATEA COUNTY—COLLINS SCENIC RESERVE

Declaration That Land is a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Tauranga City Council on the 24th day of April 1978: “That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Tauranga City Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the said city in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby, declared to be a reserve for local purpose (refuse disposal) within the meaning of the said Act”.

Cancellation of Registration as a Teacher

THE notice with the above heading, published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 69, dated 10 August 1978, p. 2233, was issued in error and is hereby revoked. The name of John Douglas Spiers has not been removed from the Teachers’ Register and the Teacher’s Certificate which bears that name remains in force.

Exemption from the Restrictions as to Flashing Red Lights

1. Pursuant to subclause (8) of regulation 67 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves the fitting and use of one or more revolving or flashing red lights on vehicles, described in the Schedule hereto, and operating in execution of the lawful duties of Service Police.

2. The notice dated the 18th day of August 1978†, which relates to exemptions from the restrictions as to flashing red lights on vehicles employed on Service Police duties by the Royal New Zealand Navy, the New Zealand Army, and the Royal New Zealand Air Force, is hereby revoked.

The Royal New Zealand Navy, and displaying a sign worded “NAVAL PATROL”.
The New Zealand Army, and displaying a sign worded “MILITARY POLICE”.
