PURSUANT to section 36 of the Queen Elizabeth the Second Arts Council of New Zealand Act 1974, I hereby designate the Malvern County Council to be the administrative local authority in respect of the Malvern Community Arts Council.

Amending a Licence Authorising Roger Scott of Kaimai, farmer, to Erect and Use certain Electric Lines in the County of Tauranga

PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Energy amends the licence dated the 20th day of December 1976 to erect and use electric lines (Gazette, 20 January 1977, p. 81), by deleting the system of supply clause and substituting the following:

The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (e) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976 shall be an alternating current system.

The Traffic (Paparua County) Notice No. 1, 1978

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Paparua County) Notice No. 1, 1978.

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

  3. The Traffic (Paparua County) Notice No. 1, 1971, dated the 21st day of July 1971†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Paparua County at Tai Tapu, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Paparua County at Tai Tapu:

No. 75 State Highway (Christchurch-Akaroa): from a point 80 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said State highway from the Lincoln-Tai Tapu Road to a point 80 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said State highway from Michaels Road.

Old Tai Tapu Road: from the No. 75 State highway (Christchurch-Akaroa) to a point 80 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said road from Michaels Road.

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Featherston County and Featherston Borough) Notice No. 1, 1978.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

  4. The notice under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, dated the 14th day of April 1958†, which relates to a road situated within Featherston Borough, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Featherston Borough:

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne): from a point 150 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said highway from Renall Street to a point 100 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said highway from Wakefield Street; and from the eastern abutment of Donalds Creek Bridge to the eastern boundary of Featherston Borough.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Featherston Borough:

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne): from a point 150 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said highway from Renall Street to a point 100 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said highway from Wakefield Street; and from the eastern abutment of Donalds Creek Bridge to the eastern boundary of Featherston Borough.

SITUATED within Featherston County adjacent to Featherston Borough:

No. 2 State highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne): from the eastern boundary of Featherston Borough to a point 100 metres measured easterly, generally along the said highway from Boundary Road.
