Cancellation of the Vesting in the Franklin County Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Franklin County Council, and revokes the reservation over that part of the reserve for public landing, described in the Schedule hereto.

Consent of Minister of Customs to Importation of Sugar Under Customs Import Prohibition (Sugar) Order 1978

PURSUANT to clause 2 of the Customs Import Prohibition (Sugar) Order 1978*, the Minister of Customs hereby consents to the importation of sugar:

In any of its recognised commercial forms derived from sugar cane or sugar beet, including edible and fancy molasses, syrups, and any other form of liquid sugar used for human consumption, when such sugar is—

Shipped to New Zealand prior to 1 October 1978, provided that such sugar is imported into New Zealand by 11 November 1978.

This consent shall take effect on the 1st day of July 1978.

Consent to the Generation of Electricity by John Stansell and Judith Beryl Stansell of Waiuku by the use of Water

PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Energy hereby consents to the generation of electricity by John Stansell and Judith Beryl Stansell of Waiuku, by the use of water, subject to the following conditions.

CONDITIONS

1. The conditions directed by the Water Power Regulations 1934, to be implied in every licence to use water for the purpose of generating or storing electricity shall be deemed to be conditions of this consent as if it were such a licence.

2. This consent is subject to compliance with the Water Power Regulations 1934, the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and all regulations hereafter made in amendment of or in substitution for any of those regulations, as if in the case of the Public Works Act 1928, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity as well as a consent under the Electricity Act 1968 to generate electricity by the use of water.

3. The generation of electricity by the use of water pursuant to this consent shall be carried out by means of the works described in the Schedule hereto.

4. This consent shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1999.

5. This consent confers no rights to water under the Water and Soil Conservation Act 1967 or otherwise.

6. For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this consent, the maximum generating capacity of the plant at the date of this consent is 5 kW.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

HEADWORKS water wheel and powerhouse with all necessary equipment for generating electricity situated in Part Section B, D.P. 14467, Block XIII, Awhitu Survey District, in the Franklin County.

The Traffic (Paparua County) Notice No. 2, 1978

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Paparua County) Notice No. 2, 1978.

2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

4. The Traffic (Paparua County) Notice No. 2, 1973, dated the 7th day of May 1973†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Paparua County at Templeton, is hereby revoked.
