Declaring a Portion of Road in Block I, Manapouri Survey District, Wallace County, to be under the Control and Management of the Wallace County Council

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall on and after the date hereof, be under the control and management of the Wallace County Council.

SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that portion of road situated in Block I, Manapouri Survey District; as shown on plan S.O. 9362, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Invercargill, and thereon marked “A”.

Declaring Land Taken for Road in the City of Invercargill

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road, from and after the 15th day of June 1978.

Amending a Notice Proclaiming Land as Road, Road Closed and Vested and Land Taken and Vested in Block VIII, Waihemo Survey District, Waihemo County

PURSUANT to section 330A of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby amends the notice dated the 27th day of January 1978, and published in Gazette, 9 March 1978, No. 15, at p. 468, proclaiming land as road, road closed and vested, and land taken and vested, in Block VIII, Waihemo Survey District, Waihemo County, by omitting therefrom the area of 3 roods and 09.9 perches, ninthly described in the Second Schedule, and substituting the area of 3 roods and 9 perches.

Revocation of the Reservation over a Reserve Specifying that the Land Shall Vest in the Kapiti Borough Council in Fee-Simple and How the Value Thereof Shall be Utilised

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for recreation purposes over the land, described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land shall vest in the Kapiti Borough Council in fee simple provided that a sum equal to the current market value of the said land is paid by Council into its reserves account, such monies to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the Council or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT—KAPITI BOROUGH

5768 square metres, more or less, being Section 9 (formerly Lot 48, D.P. 13409 and Part Lot 57, D.P. 13821), Block III, Kapiti Survey District. S.O. Plan 31692.

The Traffic (Waima County) Notice No. 2, 1978

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waima County) Notice No. 2, 1978.
  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.
  4. So much of the notice issued pursuant to section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, dated the 1st day of December 1937†, which relates to roads situated within Waima County at Brightwater, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waima County at Brightwater:

No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth): from a point 100 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said State highway from River Terrace Road to a point 50 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said State highway from Starveall Street.

Fairfield Street.

River Terrace Road: from No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth) to a point 125 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said road from the said State highway.

Waima West Road: from No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth) to a point 500 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said road from the said State highway.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waima County at Brightwater:

No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth): from a point 50 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said State highway from Starveall Street to a point 750 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said State highway from Starveall Street.

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Palmerston North City) Notice No. 1, 1978.
  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.
  4. The Traffic (Palmerston North City) Notice No. 1, 1975, dated the 10th day of December 1975†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Palmerston North City, is hereby revoked.
