To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the public, the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve): Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 10 o'clock in the evening.

On any Friday and Saturday (not being New Year's Eve) and Christmas Eve: Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 11 o'clock in the evening.

On New Year's Eve: Opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 0.30 o'clock in the morning of New Year's Day.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Wellington Licensing Committee

Pursuant to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as substituted by section 22 of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Wellington Licensing Committee on 20 December 1977 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises listed in the schedule below.

On any Friday, Saturday, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 10 o'clock in the morning

Hutt Park Hotel, Lower Hutt.

Naenae Hotel, Lower Hutt.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Chartered Club Premises—Wellington Licensing Committee

Pursuant to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Wellington Licensing Committee on 20 December 1977 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the chartered club premises known as the Petone Workingmen's Club and Literary Institute, Petone.

On every Friday and Saturday (not being days when chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members), the hours shall be opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 11 o'clock in the evening.

(b) On any New Year's Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o'clock in the morning of New Year's Eve and the hour of closing 0.30 o'clock in the morning of New Year's Day.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Pursuant to section 439 (1) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori Reservation for the purpose of a fishing ground and recreation ground for the common use and benefit of the owners and their kinsfolk.

Maori Land Development Notice

Whereas by virtue of the notices referred to in the First Schedule hereto the lands described in those notices were declared to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953; and whereas by reason of amalgamation of titles, it is considered necessary to replace the notices aforesaid.

Now therefore pursuant to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori Land Board hereby gives notice as follows.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice, Hamilton 1978, No. 1.

  2. The notices referred to in the First Schedule hereto are hereby revoked.

  3. The lands described in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.
