Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977—Articles Not to be Disposed of by Lottery or Prize Competition
PURSUANT to the power and authority vested in him by section 70 of the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby revokes the notice set out in the Second Schedule hereto, and hereby notifies for public information that licences to dispose of property by way of lottery or prize competition shall not be granted in respect of the property or classes of property set out in the First Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
PROPERTY NOT TO BE DISPOSED OF BY WAY OF LOTTERY OR PRIZE COMPETITION
(1) Firearms.
(2) Firearm ammunition.
(3) Houses or residential accommodation.
(4) Land, except under the following circumstances:
(a) The land concerned must be donated.
(b) The land concerned must be unencumbered freehold.
(c) Where a clear registrable title to the land cannot be given within 3 months from the date of the drawing of the lottery or determination of the result of the prize competition a cash equivalent of the land shall be available.
(d) The capital value of the land to be disposed of, as assessed by the Valuer-General, shall not exceed the following figures:
(i) In the case of land to be disposed of by a local society: $5,000.
(ii) In the case of land to be disposed of by a regional society: $7,500.
(iii) In the case of land to be disposed of by a national society: $10,000.
(5) Liquor, as defined in the Sale of Liquor Act 1962.

Exemption from Jurisdiction of Public Sector Tribunal and of any Single Service Tribunal
PURSUANT to the State Services Conditions of Employment Act 1977, the Minister of State Services hereby excludes from tribunal jurisdiction the position in the State Service specified in the Schedule hereto, on the ground that the said position involves substantial responsibility, not only for management but also for formulating and advising on policy, and declares that this position is excluded from Parts II to VII inclusive, of the State Services Conditions of Employment Act 1977.
