Land Taken for a Parking Place in the Borough of Henderson

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I the Right Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a parking place and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Henderson, as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 13th day of April 1978.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 32 perches, situated in the Borough of Henderson, and being Lot 11, D.P. 45417. All certificate of title, No. 14B/290, North Auckland Land Registry.

Revoking a Proclamation Declaring an Area in the Whangarei Acciimatisation District (North Auckland Land District) to be a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Sir Keith Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 26th day of June 1956*, declaring an area of land in the Whangarei Acciimatisation District (North Auckland Land District), to be a wildlife refuge the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953, in so far as it affects the land in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
Lot 2, D.P. 24195, being part Allotment 122, Parish of Mangawhai, situated in Blocks XI and XV, Waipu Survey District: area, 216 acres and 10 perches, more or less; all certificate of title, Volume 1056, folio 251, as the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/262, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations, and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy
PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.
ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY
Surgeon Captain John MacDonald is placed on the Retired List of RNZN Officers with effect from 25 January 1978.
Lieutenant Commander K. R. Moen, to be temp. Commander, with effect from 13 March 1978.
Lieutenant Commander J. A. Westphal to be Acting Commander with effect from 23 January 1978 and Commander with seniority and effect from 27 January 1978.
The appointments of the following Lieutenant Commanders are extended to the dates shown:

Lieutenant Commander Leslie Gordon Leonard is placed on the Retired List of Naval Officers, with effect from 21 December 1977.
Lieutenant Roger Charles Philp is transferred to the Reserve of Naval Officers in the rank of Lieutenant, with effect from 27 January 1978 until 26 January 1982.
Lieutenant K. M. Mutch, M.B.E., to be temp. Lieutenant Commander, with effect from 30 September 1977.
Lieutenant K. A. McGrath (RNZNVR), is appointed to the RNZN on a temporary engagement in his present rank, with seniority and effect from 9 January 1978, for a period terminating on 1 May 1978.
Lieutenant Noel David Leith is transferred to the Reserve of Naval Officers in the rank of Lieutenant, with effect from 6 January 1978 until 5 January 1982.
