The Alcoholic Liquor Advisory Council Levy Notice 1978
PURSUANT to section 27 (1) of the Alcoholic Liquor Advisory Council Act 1976, the Minister of Justice hereby gives the following notice:

This notice may be cited as the Alcoholic Liquor Advisory Council Levy Notice 1978.

The rates of levy payable in accordance with the Act for the year ending with 31 March 1979 shall be as follows:
Beer — 0.18c per litre
Spirit — 3.51c per proof litre
Fortified wine — 1.12c per litre
Unfortified wine — 0.69c per litre

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Manawatu Licensing Committee
PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as substituted by section 22 of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Manawatu Licensing Committee on 23 February 1978 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the Sale of Liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as Whyte’s Hotel, Foxton.
(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the Sale of Liquor to the public) the hour of opening shall be 10 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing shall be 9 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On any Saturday (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the Sale of Liquor to the Public): The hour of opening shall be 10 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing shall be 10 o’clock in the evening.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Chartered Club Premises—Christchurch Licensing Committee
PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as substituted by section 22 of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Christchurch Licensing Committee on 21 February 1978 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the Sale of Liquor to chartered club members, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the clubs specified in the Schedule below.
To the intent that on days other than those on which chartered clubs are required to be closed for the Sale of Liquor to their members the hours for the opening and closing of the said clubs shall be as follows:
On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve): Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.
On any Friday and Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve) and on Christmas Eve: Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.
On New Year’s Eve: Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 0.30 o’clock on the morning of New Year’s Day.

(a) On every Friday and Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve) and Christmas Eve (not being days when chartered clubs are required to be closed for the Sale of Liquor to their members). The hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing shall be 11 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day when chartered clubs are required to be closed for the Sale of Liquor to their members) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing shall be 0.30 o’clock on the morning of New Year’s Day.
Subject to the following Provisions:
That from 6 p.m. until closing time:
(1) Adequate supply of pies and sandwiches, and
(2) Adequate facilities for the making of tea and coffee. are available.
