A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, The Right
Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General
of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
road, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto
is hereby taken for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a
road, and shall vest in the Matamata County Council as from
the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this
Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 23rd day of
November 1978.

no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired.

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resigna-
tions and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New
Zealand Air Force

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excel-
lency the Governor-General has approved the following
appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations,
and retirements of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air
Force:

REGULAR AIR FORCE
GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH
Appointments

Squadron Leader B. G. Anderson is appointed to a perma-
nent commission, with effect from 26 September 1978.

Flying Officer H. I. Brice is appointed to a permanent
commission, with effect from 27 September 1978.

Promotions

Flight Lieutenant (temp. Squadron Leader) J. H. Seward
to be Squadron Leader, with seniority and effect from 24
September 1978.

Flying Officer C. O. Inch to be Flight Lieutenant, with
seniority and effect from 20 September 1978.

Flying P. A. O'Reilly to be Flight Lieutenant, with
seniority and effect from 20 September 1978.

Extensions of Commissions

The commission of Wing Commander G. W. Ragg is
extended to 11 November 1989.

The commission of Flight Lieutenant D. J. Ellis is
extended to 9 October 1986.

Extension of Commissions and Ages for Retirement

The commission and age for retirement of Air Vice
Marshal C. L. Siegert, C.B.E., M.V.O., D.F.C., A.F.C., are extended
to 30 June 1979.

The commission and age for retirement of Squadron
Leader P. H. White are extended to 18 September 1984.

Resignations of Commissions

Squadron Leader Kenneth Wilfred Clayton resigns his
commission, with effect from 29 September 1978.

Acting Pilot Officer William Grant Walker resigns his
commission, with effect from 12 October 1978.

Transfer to Reserve

Squadron Leader Keith Ainsley Skilling is transferred to
the Reserve of Air Force Officers until 23 September 1982,
with effect from 24 September 1978.

ENGINEERS BRANCH
Appointments

Flight Lieutenant L. K. Clinton to be temp. Squadron
Leader, with effect from 14 October 1978.

Aaron Woollaston, N.Z.C.E., is transferred from the Reserve
of Air Force Officers on a fixed term engagement, in the
rank of Flying Officer, with seniority from 16 April 1976
and effect from 25 September 1978.
