Exemption From the Requirement to Wear a Seat Belt
PURSUANT to regulation 30 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts the following persons in the Schedule hereto from the requirement to wear a seat belt as contained in sub-clause (1) of the said regulation 30.
SCHEDULE
DRIVERS of the Geophysics Division of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research while engaged in work involving the laying and retrieval of cable along road verges when the vehicle’s speed does not exceed 15 km/h.
