Amending a Proclamation Declaring Land Acquired for a
Local Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be
Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 330A of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir
Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby amend the Proclamation dated the 12th day of
October 1976, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 28th
October 1976, No. 110, at page 2444, declaring land acquired
for a local work and not required for that purpose to be
Crown land, by declaring the land described in the Schedule
hereto to be Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act
1948 subject to the lease registered by transfer S. 376851,
South Auckland Land Registry.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL those pieces of land containing together 137 acres 3
roods 38 perches, being part Sections 5 and 31, Block VII,
Orahiri Survey District, and part Orahiri No. 2, Section
5B2A Block. All certificate of title, Volume 948, folio 25.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this
16th day of September 1977.

Declaring Land in Roadways Laid out in Block XIV,
Opuawhanga Survey District, Whangarei County, to be Road

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 421 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I
Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule
hereto and comprised in roadways laid out by the Maori Land
Court by orders dated the 19th day of July 1965 to be road,
and to be vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants
of the County of Whangarei.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL those pieces of land, situated in Block XIV, Opuawhanga
Survey District, described as follows:

The Local Elections and Polls (Auckland Regional Authority)
Validation Order 1977

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 19th day of
September 1977

Present:

THE HON. D. MACINTYRE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 122 of the Local Elections and Polls Act
1976, and for the purpose of ensuring that Jean May Pearce
of East Tamaki Road, Howick, may, at the triennial general
election of members of the Auckland Regional Authority to
be held on the 8th day of October 1977, be a candidate for
the office of member of that Authority elected by the electors
of the Otahuhu local district notwithstanding certain irregularities in connection with her nomination, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. Title—This order may be cited as the Local Elections
    and Polls (Auckland Regional Authority) Validation Order

  2. Validation of nomination of Jean May Pearce as a candidate for Otahuhu seat—The nomination of Jean May Pearce of
    East Tamaki Road, Howick, as a candidate, at the said triennial general election, for the office of member of the
    Auckland Regional Authority elected by the electors of the
    Otahuhu local district, is hereby validated notwithstanding—
    (a) That it was received after the close of nominations;
    and
    (b) That the said Jean May Pearce had also been nominated
    as a candidate, at that election, for the office of
    member of that Authority elected by the electors of
    the Manukau local district.

  3. Validation of withdrawal of nomination of Jean May
    Pearce as a candidate for Manukau seat—The withdrawal of
    Jean May Pearce of East Tamaki Road, Howick, of her nomination as a candidate, at the said triennial general election,
    for the office of member of the Auckland Regional Authority
    elected by the electors of the Manukau local district is
    hereby validated notwithstanding that it was lodged with the
    Returning Officer later than noon on nomination day.

The Port Waikato Order 1977

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this fifth day of
September 1977

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the
following order.

ORDER

  1. (a) This order may be cited as the Port Waikato Order

  2. (b) This order shall come into force on the date of its
    publication in the Gazette.

  3. In this order—
    "The Act" means the Harbours Act 1950:
    "The Council" means the Raglan County Council:
    "Foreshore" means such parts of the bed, shore, or banks
    of a tidal water as are covered and uncovered by the ebb and
    flow of the tide at ordinary spring tides:
    "Minister" means the Minister of Transport; and includes
    any officer, person or authority acting by or under the
    direction or authority of the Minister.

  4. There is hereby granted to the Council for a period of
    21 years from the commencement of this order, the control
    of foreshore and waters described in the First Schedule to
    this order, subject to the provisions of sections 8A and 165
    of the Act, and to the conditions specified in the Second
    Schedule to this Order.

  5. The Port Waikato Order 1971* is hereby revoked.
