Notice of Approval of Bylaws

PURSUANT to sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport hereby approve the Rotorua City Council Lake Foreshore and City Waters Control Bylaw 1973, Amendment No. 4 1977, made at a meeting of the Rotorua City Council, held on 18 July 1977, and confirmed at a meeting of the council, held on 15 August 1977. This Amendment shall come into force on the date that this notice appears in the New Zealand Gazette.

Industries Development Commission Notice No. 1977/2
INQUIRY CONCERNING THE NEW ZEALAND INDUSTRIES ENGAGED IN THE PAINTING OF STEEL SHEET OR STRIP OF TARIFF HEADINGS 73.12 AND 73.13

INDUSTRIES DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION (INTERIM) REPORT NO. 5

  1. At the request of the Minister of Trade and Industry, the Commission held a public hearing on 17–18 May 1977 concerning the New Zealand industries engaged in the painting of steel sheet or strip of Tariff headings 73.12 and 73.13.

  2. The Commission has made an interim report which was forwarded to the Minister on 1 September 1977.

Exemption of Certain Motor Cycles From the Requirements as to Direction Indicator Lamps

PURSUANT to regulation 90 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts vehicles of the type specified in the Schedule hereto from the requirements of regulation 63 of the said regulations.

Exemption from Equipment Requirements for Security Vehicles

PURSUANT to regulation 90 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts the class of motor vehicles described in the Schedule hereto from the requirements of subclause 2 of regulation 82 of the said regulations (which relates to the requirements for opening and closing the doors), subject to the conditions stated therein.

SCHEDULE
ALL those vehicles operated by Security Escorts Ltd., for the secure conveyance of cash or other valuable loads conditional upon any such vehicle, when in motion, being manned by not less that two people including the driver while the doors used for entrance and exit are locked from the inside.

Exemption of Certain Motor Cycles from Requirements as to Direction Indicator Lamps and Rear View Mirror

PURSUANT to regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts vehicles of the type specified in the Schedule hereto from the requirements of regulations 63 and 74 of the said regulations, providing the vehicles are operated on the road for a distance not exceeding 1.5 km from the Traffic Officers Training College, Trentham, except for the purposes of refuelling, repair, and maintenance only.

SCHEDULE
DUAL purpose trail motorcycles operated by the Traffic Officers Training College.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 11 of the Animals Act 1967, the land and premises of Wrightson N.M.A. Ltd., and Pyne Gould and Guinness Ltd. sale grounds, situated at the northern end of Raccourse Road, Trentham, comprising approximately 1 hectare and known as “J and K Block”, is hereby declared to be a quarantine ground for the detention of imported horses from September 5 1977 to February 20 1978.

PURSUANT to the Pharmacy Act 1970, notice is hereby given that an election of members of the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand will be held in the month of November 1977.

Nominations of candidates, on the prescribed form, close with the Registrar at 4 p.m., on 1 November 1977.

Voting papers, if a poll is required will be received by the Registrar until 4 p.m., on 22 November 1977.
