Authorising the Golden Bay Cement Company Limited to Reclaim Land at Tarakohe

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 175 (2) and subject to sections 176 to 182 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Golden Bay Cement Company Limited to reclaim from the bed of the sea at Tarakohe an area of 5,700 square metres, more or less, as shown coloured yellow on Plan M.D. 15870 and deposited in the Ministry of Transport at Wellington.

Authorising the Golden Bay Cement Company Limited to Reclaim Land at Tarakohe

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 29th day of August 1977

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 175 (3) and subject to sections 176 to 182 of the Harbours Act 1950, and to the conditions set out in the Schedule below, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Golden Bay Cement Company Limited to reclaim from the bed of the sea at Tarakohe an area of 1.823 hectares, more or less, as shown coloured yellow as to part and marked ‘wharf reclamation’ as to part on Plan M.D. 15871 and deposited in the Ministry of Transport at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

  1. The Golden Bay Cement Company Limited will, on behalf of the Crown, and at its own expense in all things, reclaim from the bed of the sea at Tarakohe a further 1.652 hectares, more or less, which will remain vested in the Crown as Crown Land subject to the Land Act 1948.

  2. If the Golden Bay Cement Company Limited, or its successors or permitted assigns, shall cease to use the land hereby authorised to be reclaimed, and its adjoining land, for commercial manufacturing purposes, then the land hereby authorised to be reclaimed, shall revert to the Crown free from all encumbrances and without payment.

  3. That the Golden Bay Cement Company Limited will, at its own expense in all things, and subject to the provisions of sections 176 to 182 of the Harbours Act 1950, construct a boat ramp adjoining the area marked “Crown Reserve”, 5,290 square metres, and coloured blue on Plan M.D. 15871 and will lay the Crown reserve out as a parking area for motor vehicles and boat trailers.

Adding Land to Arthur’s Pass National Park

PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the date hereof, be added to and form part of Arthur’s Pass National Park and shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with by the Arthur’s Pass National Park Board in accordance with the provisions of the said Act.

as a conciliator in a temporary capacity to hold office and have all the powers and jurisdiction of a conciliator from 19 September 1977 to 23 December 1977.
