Amending a Licence Authorising Christchurch Ski Club (Inc.) to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the County of Tawera

PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity amends the Licence dated the 1st day of December 1965 to erect and use electric lines (Gazette, 9 December 1965, p. 2150) by deleting the system of supply clause and the Schedule and substituting the following:

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a) and (d) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, and shall be an alternating current system.

SCHEDULE
LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the systems of supply previously described proceeding:
(a) From the licensee’s generator A in a north-easterly direction to the Christchurch Ski Club lodge, then in a south-easterly direction to university lodge No. 2 and to the Licensee’s generator B, and in a southerly direction generally to university lodge No. 1, a public shelter, and a goods lift.
(b) From the licensee’s generator B in a north-westerly direction to the ski club lodge, and in a south-westerly direction to university lodge No. 1.

All being situated in Temple Basin, Block 6, Otira Survey District, in the County of Tawera; the said lines being more particularly shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 930, deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

Customs Act: Dumping Duty

PURSUANT to the provisions of sections 129 (1) and (11) of the Customs Act 1966, as amended by section 6 of the Customs Amendment Act 1971, notice is hereby given that dumping duty, equivalent to 100 per cent of the amount by which the f.o.b. export selling price is less than the current domestic value, determined in accordance with the provisions of this Act, shall be payable in respect of the following goods:

Authorisation of the 1977 Auckland Boat Show

PURSUANT to the Exhibitions Act 1910, the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires—
    "The Act" means the Exhibitions Act 1910;
    "The promoter" means the Auckland Agricultural, Pastoral, and Industrial Shows Board in association with the Auckland Water Ski Club, the Outboard Boating Club of Auckland, and the R Class Yacht Squadron.
    "The exhibition" means a public exhibition of works of industry and art to be conducted by the promoter at the Epsom Showgrounds, Auckland, from the 23rd day of September 1977 to the 2nd day of October 1977 (both inclusive), and to be known as the 1977 Auckland Boat Show.
  2. The exhibition is hereby authorised and declared to be an exhibition within the meaning of the Act.
  3. Subject to the conditions set out in the Schedule hereto, the following provisions are hereby suspended in so far as they relate to work done or business conducted or services rendered in the said premises during the period of the exhibition, by or on behalf of the promoter, or by or on behalf of any exhibitor at the exhibition, or by any person employed in or about the exhibition, namely—such of the provisions of—
    (a) The Industrial Relations Act 1973 and all collective agreements and awards in force thereunder;
    (b) The Shops and Offices Act 1955;
    (c) The Shop Trading Hours Act 1977; and
    (d) The Factories Act 1946
    as relate to the hours of commencing or ceasing work, or to the issue of permits, or to the payment for overtime, or extended hours, or to holidays and half-holidays, or to the closing of shops.

SCHEDULE

  1. Forty hours shall constitute a week’s work, to be worked on 5 days of the week, and 8 hours shall constitute a day’s work in or about the exhibition, and with the exception set out in clause 2 hereof, the daily hours shall be worked consecutively.
  2. No person shall be employed in or about the exhibition for more than 4 hours without an interval of at least three-quarters of an hour for a meal.
  3. (a) Any person employed during any day in or about the exhibition who is employed on that day for more than 8 hours, or before the hour of 8 a.m., or after the hour of 10.30 p.m., or on any day in excess of 5 days per week (whether the excess employment is in or about the exhibition or otherwise) shall be paid for the excess employment at not less than half again as much as the ordinary rate for the first 2 hours and at not less than twice the ordinary rate thereafter.
